I like this drama much more than TVB's. SunWukong has 72 disguisements,in this drama he really keep changing his appreances 2 trick his enemies.

More details ex, d way a monkey eats (watch 40-something ep. Sunwukong&bajie eating are so fricken funny) & d behaviour.Dicky was good too coz monkey king is arrogant,he portraits better than Benny but TVB's stroyline is always d same,u hv already knew d ending b4 it shows.Whereas in ths drama, d ending is diferrent.Kudos to d mainland production!!!

By FAR the best version of the story to date. F*** the haters, it's obvious none of you have any taste or brains to speak of.

This is the ONLY version of Xi You Ji that actually delivers both the deep, ingenious philosophy (which is what chinese mythology is all ABOUT) as well as the emotional drama that the story is SUPPOSED to have.

It's obvious that they took the example set by Bao Lian Deng Qian Zhuan and strived to match that.

Very, very impressive. Once again, f*** the haters.

刚看了10分钟！我就知道其改版之《西游记》的改写者根本不懂故­事于人类的教材。非创新矣，非创新矣！典型佛教与道教是电脑幻想­代替不了的！还是80年代版为典型之最。可惜啊！希望下版出版人­多请佛教人士顾问导向，不要这么轻易改变故事重要的情节。
