The way the rapid pulser works is that redstone torches are inverters, so when in is 0, out is 1 and vice versa. When the input feeds off the output, it creates a rapid pulse. However, this quickly burns out the torch, but the burnout recovery time is about 3 times as long as the burnout time and thus 4 torches give an uninterrupted pulse. As for the stabilization of the current, it's a glitch that causes powered dispensers to fire upon receiving redstone updates.

When two RS currents are connected to the dispenser it only has to register the switch of the pulser (for some reason MC much register AND gates quicker than normal input) rather than the pulser update.

The reason why it does that is because the torches flicker on and off so quickly, the game doesn't have enough time to do the necessary things to get them to fire. The additional redstone torch makes it so that there's always a current flowing to the block. If you want to know more about this kind of stuff, just look up redstone logic gates and watch a couple videos.

This may be an old comment but... instead of putting a redstone torch next to the dispenser connected with redstone, use a repeater connecting to the wool block on a 1 tick.

i no how it works

so the 1st pulse starts by the redstone torches turning on and off give it a to fast of a pulse . to fast for the dispenser to register. so giving it the extra torch gives it shorter time spand by making the wire turning on the torch before you fire the dispenser

The reason it shootrs like that by itsself is because the red stone clock isnt generating enough power to rapidly fire the arrows,but when you add the other piece of wiring to the dispensers it generates enogh power to continuesily shoot the arrows while the clock works to rapidly shoot them while its ticking. :)

The way the redstone curcutry works at 1:41 is that the constent power resets the despencers as fast as the redstone clock is circulating without it te clock would fire the despencers then haft to reset the;them then fire again and with the speed at witch the thing is pulsing it glitches

Add an extra, small set of dispensers above the ones that shoot arrows, and fill those with eggs. Then have one switch/button/pressure plate for eggs, and another for arrows, this way you keep your fire rate.
