bethesda should have never messed with the franchise. Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 were great... the other ones.... still better than fallout 3. fallout 3 lacked that edge that fallout 1,2, BOS, etc had. It lacked that humor. that dark comedy to the point of tragedy. hell, as much as i love NV, it still doesnt hold a candle to Fallout 2. the mission to find little johnny in the well, only to see his corpse crushed by rocks as you steal single caps and his bb gun. Genius. Dark gritty humour.

I want more debris, stores, houses, buildings to explore and dark landscapes like fallout 3.

NV was ok.it was too bright and horizontal. I'd rather walk and explore and rarely use fast travel,so I got easily bored cos there's a plenty of weapons (the aiming system improved) mods...,but less enemies to kill. most of the time I just autowalk hoping to kill something with my vast weaponry. the HC mode it's just a matter of getting used to. and companions? WTF? they kill before I draw my gun!

I love FO2! But, God, New Vegas made it!

They took FO2 for real and put everything I missed in FO3. Even HARD moral choices, npcs with PERSONALITY and there are ENDINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's impossible to make everything in a single session of NV, and, oh my G, I'm gonna cry, the cities are mentioned in the...MULTIPLE ENDINGS!

Hated FO3 ending. What the use of so many missions if none is mentioned after you friggin' dies for them?

New Vegas contains a lot of elements that was supposed to be in Interplay's F3 before it got cancelled.

"War has changed" because, instead of being the fight for ideals, it is a fight for resources and economy dinamism (like Snake says in MGS4), but it "never changes" because the result is always the same: suffering and death. So yes: "war has changed", but in the end... "it never changes".

@ThePokemon2222 Actually that scene was pre-fallout. Its just US soldiers killing a Canadian soldier. It even says so before the tv report starts 0:31 "Our dedicated boys keep the peace in newly annexed Canada". Brotherhood didn't exist at that point.

Then after playing the first mission I started playing almost all day everyday, maybe 3 days isn't 100% accurate, but I did beat it in less than a week and continue to play it over 3 times over the course of 3 months until I got New Vegas. They took the 50's for nuclear paranoia and golden age scy-fi technology, outfits, and stereotypes as a start, which is hinted in FO2 when you meet Flash Gordon. The 50's soundtrack is a thing from FO3 on. They just got musics to suit the outfits and missions. You may assume the old historical recordings were better sheltered in places noone would bomb, if you must. ;-) Much jokes on survivors misunderstanding past recordings and textbooks appear in all games. I love it all.

fallout 3´s atmosphere was much better then new vegas, but new vegas had a iron sight, and that improved the game alot, plus all the extra weapons in vegas made the game interesting.
