  • I love the new bottle bill, and there is no doubt that it has helped keep litter out of the parks around here. I always thought that soda and beer were not enough. Most of the bottles that I return now are water bottles. I thank everyone who helped make this happen.

  • Do you still wear a leisure suit? So why trap recycling in a 1970s out-of-date program that actually hinders recycling and prevents sustainability? Its time to get recycling out of the 70's and start recycling for today. Step 1 Can the bottle bill. Bottles and cans make up 3% of the waste stream. We need to focus on real recycling programs, such as expanded curbside recycling. A bottle bill is just another tax.

  • Bottle bills do not increase recycling. Recycling increases recycling. A bottle bill is merely a tax on working people. If you want to help the environment, reduce waste and increase recycling you should put your efforts towards making curbside recycling universal. Bottles and cans represents a small percentage of the waste stream.
