It is just Sacrilege to hear her winey voice destroy this great song. Part of being an artist is understanding your limitations. Mcbride's focus should be to revive country/pop songs that didn't really make it back in the day. She is a C-level performer that doesn't have any business performing other people's A-level material. What a shame.

@decodebbie Garth was the ACM artist of the '90's decade. I believe he was there to pass the torch onto George. So it was in recognition of the previous artist, in this case Garth.

She did a good job but nobody can seriously cover "The Dance" it's one of the greatest songs of all time. The instrumental at the end the 1st time I heard Garth was the best I have ever heard this song.

I've never seen this show, but why is she singing a Garth song at a George Strait tribute? Martina always sounds great. Check her out singing "When Somebody Loves You".  She really nailed that Alan Jackson hit.
