By connecting themselves to eachother, the corps and the gov't work out a symbiotic relationship. The corps get to write the regulation in such a way as to keep out the smaller companies, and the gov't is able to control parts of the economy and benefit by skimming and giving jobs to friends.

A truly free market system would not connect those in corporate power to those in the gov't. A socialist, fascist gov't does. By connecting themselves to eachother, the corps and the gov't work out a symbiotic relationship. The corps get to write the regulation in such a way as to keep out the smaller companies, and the gov't is able to control parts of the economy and benefit by skimming and giving jobs to friends.
