  • Hey is that a 4' bush hog or 5', i have the same tractor, just need a new bush hog, i don't know if it could handle a 5' or not.

  • @weldermatt07 Four foot, five is too big for that tractor

  • Nice YM2000. My first tractor was a YM2210D. I used a 5' LandPride Finishing Mower to keep my lawn cut. Lots of power packed in those little tractors!

  • @SLHawk92 mom bought a 1979 ym2210 with a bulldog285 loader,one gutsy little tractor,pulled lots of 6 to 8" tree limbs to the burn pile,i have a 20' 3/8 cable on it all the time

  • @SLHawk92 You got that right, they do work great

  • Looks like he is in too high a gear to me. Moving too fast and whipping the mower around in his turns. Slower and more controlled would be much safer. Looks like inexperience to me.

  • @tofufarmer Yes, that's my young son with too much testosterone running in his body :-)

  • my mom just bought a 1979 2210 yanmar with a bulldog loader,it's just a 2 wheel drive,one gutsy little tractor

  • @dalekrueger You know it, that thing has amazing power and traction, does it not? Thanks!

  • Yes sir, good deal indeed!

  • I got all you got + 4x4 less the rake for $7500.00 from Fredricks Equipment, Inc.Hartselle, AL. It to was a total rebuild with new everything. Very nice tractor for the money.

  • Damn!! for a 1977 it looks brand new!! i just picked up a little 1982 john deere 650 compact tractor with a 4' bush hog. the early john deere compact tractors like my 650 were built by yanmar for john deere. its a great tractor so far!

  • @1944johndeerel Yes, those guys in Austin really rebuild them well so they do look brand new and yes, Yanmar built the JD's up to 28hp so I expect that it will be a great tractor to you for many years to come. Thanks!

  • How do you like your YM 2000? THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!! Yanmar tractors are tough!

  • @231MasseyFerguson I absolutely love it! Totally reliable in every way, I love the fact that it has a 3 speed PTO so I can hook up things like water pumps to it that require more RPMs. I paid just right about $10,000 for the tractor with bucket, brush mower, box blade and landscape rake - can't beat that.. I got mine from RCO tractor in Austin - highly recommend them. Thanks and God bless you.

  • @econewpower Yes, I highly recommend John and Stuart at RCO also. VERY nice people who DO care about their customers.

How many hours u got on it? I bought a YM 2000 from them years ago. I sold it to buy a bigger tractor though. I do want another Yanmar. I'd like to get about a 35-40 hp with a front end loader, power steering, and 4x4. Maybe a YM 3220D, a YM 3110D or a YM 3810D. Maybe I can make something happen in the coming year. I don't know yet. Anyway, Thanks and God Bless You too!

  • That tractor is in excellent shape for 1977!

  • @field16 Thanks, it was purchased fully reconditioned with one warranty parts & labor from RCOtractor in Austin. You can find other places that sell them cheaper but they are the only ones that rebuild them in the USA.

  • My son who is 2 and 2 months now loves tractors. When I started to watch this video he was near by he heard the engine and came running over to the laptop. He then pointed at the screen and said "tractor". :) He loves to ride on them.

  • @laidofftomass Yes, they are like candy to a child. All boys love tractors, backhoes, dozers, etc. I'm glad we could make him smile.

  • @econewpower Tractors are like candy to some adults, too! (hehe)

  • Some guys have all the best toys LOL

  • @Stime64 Thanks for the comments, that is an awesome toy..I'll make a video this fall of the plowing and seeding

  • @Stime64 That is a good toy to play with, but it is really hard to clear that stuff, pile it and burn it. Texas brush will reclaim your land it you're not careful, we got mesquite, cactus and thornbush that will quickly choke a patch.

  • How about a windshield for your poor son? ;-)

  • @nubbynubs123 A windshield???Ha! He did 15 minute of work for this video, I do all the tractor driving and brush clearing, so if it's good enough for this old man the youth can take it even better. Seriously nubby, thanks for your comments and your concern, I'm busting your chops here. He and I split the hard work evenly with welding, concreting, building stuff, home maintenance etc, other stuff he takes the lion share exchange for room and board, etc. He'll get a kick out of your comment :-)
