  • @IHateMakeup enjoy the camera man

  • awesome 3 videos. I just got my t2i yesterday, and after watching the 3 vids, I went back to take some photos today, and there is a huge difference since now that I know what the controls do, lol. thanks

  • @MCMUNROE78 any time man thanks

  • I'm way noob at this, but metering on the camera helped me a ton! Good vid bro!

  • @nizzvark happy to hear it

  • I would be very interested in learning all of these types of things and how they affect the photo and capture the setting. As you've probably guessed I'm a bit of an amateur, and I have the canon 550D, so far I haven't strayed too far from Auto settings, but I am fascinated in learning about all the settings to get the best out of my camera and get the best photos :)

  • @booygal Well if you watch my video using the manuel setting will help a lot

  • you have any advice on shutter speeds or aperture settings for a live music gig? preferably one with stage lighting?

  • When i am filming, the camera with automaticly stop and say "video recording has been stopped automaticly" do u know why it does this or how to fix that?

  • @32CalebRockz50 what type of card do you have and what class is it

  • @MediaUnlocked It says Lexar, Platinum II SDHC 8gb, and on the box it said it records 1080p video. Idk if that helps?

  • @32CalebRockz50 Try another sd the card may be yours to slow to keep up with the camera I like trancend class 10 cards they are very cheap

  • is this exactly the same as the kiss x4?!?! HELP

  • @Mccorell yes i have one they are the same, canon t2i is american, 550d is europe and kissx4 is japanese. all the same mate

  • i just recently got this camera as a gift since I like taking alot of pics of friends and family members....But I am clueless in how this camera works or what its capable of. Your video helped me out a lot. Especially what the numbers in the screen mean. Subscribed :)

  • how do you take pictures up close with some one?

  • @vampirechibiofreno what do you mean?

  • @MediaUnlocked Like if your out with friends; and you need to take it fast, or if there's movement. For me sometimes the lense will take to long to auto focus, and then one take a picture. is there a good lense for times when your going out with friends? more geared to it i mean

  • @vampirechibiofreno Not reall a 18-250mm is not bad

  • Extremely helpful thankyou so much :)

  • Comment removed

  • what lens are you using?

  • @Assassin7456 the Canon 10-22mm

  • Ermm Also when you described how Av mode works, completely incorrect... You have full control over aperture and the camera automatically adjusts shutter speed.

  • @qwerty123454321666 Thanks my bad

  • @qwerty123454321666 Thanks for that. I got a bit confused there !!

  • @Back2BackMovies any time what did you get confused on

  • You said Manual and then set it to full auto, hahaha

  • how can I undo the WB setting? After setting the WB I don't like the color of my pics :((, please help!!! Thanks

  • @Oboro2101 just use the auto white balance

  • Thanks for this...great for beginners! Just got this camera from my husband for my bday and had no clue how to use it, lol. I knew i would be able to come across just the right video to teach a beginner how to use this camera, thx again, just what i was looking for!

  • @KristieKat1 Happy I could help!!!!!!!

  • I didn't quit understand what you did with white balancing, can you may be explain that a bit please?

    Thanks!

  • @L0lal0la23 What do you not understand Do you need me to explain all about white balance

  • @MediaUnlocked I didn't get what we are supposed to do with WB, i mean how to use it while taking pictures and if i take a picture of white blank paper in any light, would tht be gud? I've bought my canon this week so m totally new:D

    Thankyou very much for replying!

  • @L0lal0la23 White Balance helps with getting your color of your picture a guine as possible. By taking a picture of the white piece of paper in the area I was shooting in it helped get better color composition.

  • hi! This video was very helpful for my new camera! what lens do you have on that camera in the video? Any suggestions for a good zoom lens?

  • @2buckley4 Thanks I believe I had the 28-135mm 3.5-5.6

  • Hey, im new to this camera stuff do you mind explaining what aperture and iso means? reply back if you can

  • Just bought this camera yesterday. First DSLR camera. Your video made this camera seem not as complicated as I thought it would be. Appreciate it!

  • Thanks for all that info....

I understand the camera canon t2i functions.

    grate!

    You are good.

    Hey,

is this your job or hobby????

How to make money with all this knowledge???

    surfraul2000@yahoo.com

  • @surfraul2000 I am trying to make this my job I only make about 100 a month

  • ok so question if i have a 50mm lens and i want to move in video mode, but i dont want to keep playing with the focus in order to keep there face in focus, how can i bring everything in focus, cause i have been playing with my canon for a few days trying to figure out how to do this.... i was thinking like 1/40 f11, when i do that it seems nothing changes on the video side of things...

  • @Groverfargo You will all ways have to manually focus to keep the picture in focus

  • just ordered this camera i can't wait!!

  • @Banishko You will love it.

  • @MediaUnlocked 3 more days! :D

  • @Banishko Exciting

  • could you please tell me what lens do you use? and if you could suggest some it would be great! thank you a lot :))

  • how do I open up one stop while keeping aperture constant from the previous exposure? Also how do I close one stop while keeping the aperture sonstant from the previous exposure? I'm so confused! Are there certain aperture settings that go with shutter speeds, or can I mix and match?

  • @Longshotblade You mix and match to get the right lighting. I all ways keep shutter at 30 if I can

  • could you take photos with all of the different manual settings and go over the amount of iso , shutter speed and apeture with each different shot. or have you already done this in another video that i havent seen? if so id like to know :))

  • @HabboPhil I will try and get around to that good idea man

  • very useful videos thanks a lot !!

  • @9704233375 Happy I could help

  • Great video, thanks for your help, just bought this camera.

  • @jesteroony Happy to hear its a great camera

  • why dint u mention anything about the CA mode? i guess it stands for creative auto. im a beginner so iv just tried it a bit.. wud love to know more abt it!

  • what is Iso speed?

  • @TNHTechnology It stands for International Standards Organization. I have a video on how to use Iso

  • amazing tutorials thanks for sharing they're really useful :D

  • @dulcinea87 Happy i could help

  • Thanks, I never thought of using the AUTO setting as a meter. I am doing a photo shoot in a month for a friend and I now have a way to check out my settings.

  • @pfdragstrem I am happy I could help helped

  • Supid question, but how does one shoot in RAW files? Don't laugh!

  • thank you bro. I really appreciate your help. and I will try to skype you.

  • @getsaved777 Happy I could Help

  • every t2i should have a CD/DVD containing this video instead of reading the manual with black and white pictures.

  • @imagronuragro Thanks man

  • I've been using my t2i in a studio on manual...setting the ISO to 100 or 200, aperture and shutter speed...during shoots I've found the setting seem to change without me doing anything. It became most noticeable when the shutter speed went to 1/320 and half the frame was black being out of sync with the strobe. I'm using the 'Q' button to change settings...My question is am I doing something wrong or is the camera broken?

  • @TheVATraveler If your shutter speed goes over 200 to 250 it will start to give you black lines it has to do with the speed of the flash not being as fast as the speed of the camera

  • awesome tutorials man!

  • @LuisThePandaMan thanks man

  • hey man can you do the CANON 1100 D i got it but im not too good at using it :S

  • @maxciley22 The t2i is pretty much the same as the t3 or 1100d

  • How can i change my t1i from 30fps to 60fps?

  • @SSRlongboarding I dont believe that the T1I has 60 fps

  • TV is Shutter Speed Priority, you will have the control of your Shutter speed and the camera will adjust the ISO and the Aperture, for you. This is good if you want to take a picture that take Shutter speed as priority , like sport games, water fall, etc etc.

    Hope this helps..

  • @vichetmeng thanks

  • Lol, AV mode is Aperture Priority , you will have the control of your F/stop or Aperture and the camera will adjust the Shutter speed and the ISO for you to get a correct exposure. This is good if you want to focus on one particular subject of an image. eg, Portrait photography, etc etc.

  • your priorities are messed up....hahaha

  • @mthomas12689 what

  • Hi, can you help me please? I have Eos 550d and I can record a video maximum with 50 fps I don't have the option to record with 60 fps. Can you answer me why is that?

  • @bokikawa Go to you menu and then go to the yellow wrench I believe it is the last one and change your camera from Pal to Ntcs

  • I believe u gave a wrong description of the Aperture Priority (Av) mode. When ur in the Av mode u have control over the aperture and the camera sets the shutter speed for u. What u said about the Av mode is actually the description of the Shutter Priority(Tv) mode.

  • Everyone I spoke to told me Class 10 cards are recommended for video shooting. Definately check the data transfer or writing speeds, some cards can write the video faster than others.

  • I have Panasonic SDHC Class 10 Memory Card With its speed data transfer rate of 20MB/sec and never ever had any problems with it, but they are a bit expensive than other cards.

  • huge help. easy to understand. Thanks!

  • @blaklodge Happy I could help

  • Hi again! Ok I have a problem/question and I hope you can help! I have this camera (Canon T2i) and for some reason when I put it on the video setting and press the record button..it only records for around 12-15 seconds and automatically stops. I tried to look under all the different settings but cant seem to find out what the problem is. I also googled this and most ppl were talkinga bout the memory card. Im using a Sandisc w/lots of space so I dont know why this is happening :( Pls help!

  • @BabiferJ What class is your card if it is a class 6 or less then this is a common problem.

  • @MediaUnlocked Oh I see..Okay I will have to go take a look when I get home tonight! I have a feeling it may be a 6 but not too sure. Would you recommend a certain specific memory card for shooting videos on the T2i camera?

  • @BabiferJ

may be ur card is slow it needs class 6 or faster sd card

when transfer rate is slow the video be stopped when small incamera buffer memory is full

  • thank you ~

  • what is ca ??

  • @BodyguardB were do I say CA in the video

  • @MediaUnlocked the function. after the P

  • @BodyguardB Creative auto mode

  • His favorite words "so" and "ISO" hahaha Way to many times dude!

  • @rucerial Sorry man

  • This video was very straight to the point & helpful!!! I just bought the t2i and im trying to learn how to use all the features.. Im a slr newbie and this video really helped to break everything down..thanks :) Going to watch the rest of your series!

  • @BabiferJ I am happy this helped you

  • Great tutorial you helped me out a whole lot. Thanks

  • @jmath555 thanks

  • @MediaUnlocked any time man

  • Another ???

I bought my T2i in a bundle and got 2 lenses. One is EFS 18-55mm and 55-250. Are they good or shoul I start thinking about other lenses?

    Thanks

  • @quiles26 If you bought the camera to lean how to be come more professional you should look at other lens. If you bought it just to have fun then they will be fine.

  • Question?

I took your tips and put them in practice at my kids soccer game and it went great.

I took a video and when I play it in the camera it plays normal. When I try to play it in the Mac using Quicktime or VLC it does not play at normal speed and kind of freeze.

    Any suggestions???

  • Great video. Great tutorial. I just found you yesterday in YouTube and already watched all you videos.

    Thanks!!!

  • @quiles26 Thanks man
