You should definitely not have a problem getting scholarships, because I was able to snag a couple, and my GPA was nowhere near 4. Good luck on the speech, and on the rest of the exams!

Your talk of a 4.14 GPA prompts me to ask what is the highest GPA you can attain. My understanding, as attained from movies and television, is that 4.0 is considered very good. Is that correct? Does that mean than 4.14 is extremely good, say the top 10% or top 5% of students?
Good luck with dorm living. It might be pretty challenging, having to share a room with someone.
You're right about the GPA. Generally, the highest is a 4.0=A. If you take AP or IB classes, they are commonly graded with 5.0=A, because it's a lot more work to get an A in an AP class than in a regular class. I think there are some cases where they are graded out of a 6.0, but I'm not sure about that.
(I don't know what percentile a 4.14 is in, but it's definitely nothing to scoff at.)
Having read some of your poems, prose and fan fiction, I know you have a talent for writing, so I know you can write a good speech. Your only problem will be staying within the set time limit ;)
