  • Flynn: "Hey! Hold it right there!"

    Bit: "Yes."

Flynn: "What do ya mean, yes?

    Bit: "Yes."

Flynn: "That all you can say?

    Bit: "No."

    <3

  • I remember this scene it's my favorite - cheers!

  • @4000NoobTube

    Yeah Bit is awsome :)

  • YES-YES-YES-YES-YES

  • "Nononononononononono" Now I know where Shia LaBeouf got his acting inspiration.

  • I'm making a virtual Bit app for the iPhone. Anybody excited? I know I am!

  • i want a bit as a pet.....

  • @tesseract666 Yes.

  • Got the app too. I asked it if Justin Beiber was gay. You get the idea of what the answer was. Gotta love Bit.

  • Yes.

  • It's...it's...JOHN SHERIDAN???

  • Yes! No!

  • I have the bit app-3

  • @dongodaddy YES YES YES YES YES

  • I mean *iOS*

  • I want to get iPS 4.3 so that I can get the Bit app!

  • I always loved this bit!! XD!!!

  • RALF HUTTER, how are you?

  • YES YES YES YES YES

  • Did ya bring a light?

  • aajajajjajajajajaj Cool!!

  • I've been compromised, GET OUTTA HERE!

  • Actually, If you watch the scene where Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) puts those 2 metallic pieces on the fireplace's mantle, you'll see a silver and gold "bit" resembling thing.

  • YESYESYESYESYES

  • Bit must be hungry

  • Yesyesyesyesyes

  • it was knickknack in the second one

  • There where so mana ikonic things missing in tron legacy :(

  • bit is so cute..i hope to see it this weekend in tron legacy again! :D yes yes yes :D

  • Was so looking forward to seeing a Bit in the new Tron.

Although I did enjoy the movie( (regardless of the vast differences between the first and second), the fact that there was no Bit was quite unsatisfying and disheartening.

I MISS THE MONOTONE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE RESPONSES.

  • @LongLiveLemons

    yes yes yes!

Ur so right it misses something without bit.

  • especially bones. wow, amazing. but of course they had to blow up vulcan...

tron part got cut off.. was saying fans prompted Disney to make legacy but they Just used it as an opportunity to cash in on the nostalgia merchandizing we will buy.

  • it lacks the entire magic and "beyond it's years" content like it's former CRAY 2000 laced parent.

when Roddenberry died their (paramount's) franchise went south in my opinion with the whole dark doomy gloom scripting. they trash 3 enterprises and data dies. I think thats proof enough someone is looking to inject some ruin into the utopian plots that precede these abortion-like feature films.

new trek was great and a much needed reboot for the younger crowd and casting was SPOT ON! especia

  • great scene. I think if daft punk had consulted Wendy Carlos instead of Hans Zimmerman for the score and Boxleitner had more grid time as tron and they didn't try and change it from "Disney happy" to "ratings corrupt" and.... okay well maybe they just blew it entirely.

If I wanted the dude instead of Kevin Flynn I'd just rent lebowski.

if I wanted dark and depressing I'd just go outside in downtown for an hour....

this movie ONLY EXISTS because of us 1982 fans and it was us who drove Disney

  • Yesyesyesyesyes

  • Bit had more character and appeal than anybody else in the film, always loved bit.

  • One can imagine you've got tons of these little guys floating around in your computer:P

  • @vidviewer401

    yes yes yes

  • so adorable

  • Bit is in Legacy....no one remembers the scene with Kevin Flynn holding the figures when talking to his son back in the Outlands? Those figures were Bit

  • ur correct,but its just a Paper or Plastic-like Model. Its not a "living"-Bit. ;)

  • yes! yes! yes! yes! yes!

  • WHAT DYA MEAN YES

    ..................yes........

  • Another mouth to feed

    ...yesyesyesyes

  • @hero28

    YES YES YES!

  • Wow... He had about as much screen time in this movie as Tron did in the second one

  • "positive and negative.. huh?.... your a bitch"

that's what i seriously thought he said....

  • yesyesyesyesyes

  • It's scenes like these that make this movie better than Legacy. This movie has fun, nerdy charm laced throughout the story. Legacy on the other hand, is trying too hard to separate itself from the original by being badass and "cool." A prime example is the Sirens, who are purely in the sequel for sex appeal.

  • It's sad that there were no bits in Tron Legacy, actually it's sad that Tron Legacy even exists.

  • @Deokishisu did you see what was on Flynn's mantelpiece? Clu even looks at them ;D

  • @djblueshift I didn't recognize them. My sister later mentioned it on Skype and I noticed the second time. I think even if there were no Bits in Legacy it would have been nice to at least have some kind of other non-anthropomorphic character.

  • Yeah, what are they going to do with the new TRON release since technology has improved, have a floating ASCII smileyface?

  • awesome lil' bit ! just got the bit for ps Home ! :D wish it could follow me through public spaces too.

  • @vastenmielinen I want a bit to follow me! Heck, I'd settle for one as a PC screen mate!

  • As a child, Bit was MY FAVORITE character EVAR. Still is. Thank you mom and dad for raising me the RIGHT way :D

  • @bebeo4 Same here, Bit was a favorite and I was a little disappointed when they didn't have a Bit in the new movie. Still, this is my favorite scene.

    "Another mouth to feed."

    "YESYESYESYESYES"

  • @Gadebalran They did have bits! ....They were just dead bits on a mantle. I had NO CLUE that what looked like one of those dumb rubix cube puzzles was actually a nod to something rather funny in the original until I stumbled upon this video.

  • @DarkLadyPhoenix ...that's not a dead bit, it's just a figure.

  • Bit was awesome!! it HAS to return in the next film!! yes, yes, yes, yes!!

  • they should make some magic 8 ball thing with bit, that says yes, no, yes yes yes, no no no......i would so buy that...

  • 0:17 was my first reaction to finding out a girl I like is in the middle of a relationship.

  • "Another mouth to feed..."

"YES YES YES YES YES! 8DDD"

    O BIT. <3

  • Does anyone know how Bit's voice was produced? Was it a human voice which was filtered/modulated or was it completely synthesized?

  • @Magnus27 sounds like a vocoder

  • @Magnus27 it's modulated against the carrier (vocoder filter)

  • does anyone else feel like at the end there, that bit was laughing?

  • I SO want one of these!

  • This will probably be the first AI. Input -> ({Process) Check if input is true or false {Process}) -> output

  • Is this hilarious? YES.

Will this go on without being in my favorites? NO.

  • yes yes yes yes yes!!

i have always wanted a bit. that would be so cool!

  • My all-time favourite movie... watched it docens of times.... it was (and it is) awesome for the year it was released

  • yesyesyesyesyes! cute and funny lol

  • I always wanted a cat,but screw that,bits are better. They don't poop and they can talk.lol

  • hmmm...

    yes

    no

  • Bit totally rocks! I want one!

  • "yes." "no." "yes-yes-yes-yes-yes!" cute!!!

  • As I saw/see it, the whole point of bit saying yes five times, is that he is "hungry" (for lack of a better word): "Another mouth to feed"-"Yes!Yes!Yes!Yes!Yes!"

  • Bit might be the essential 'it' - having no gender. I wish there was more of this scene and more of Bit in the movie, as you said, RFrayo. When Flynn finally completely wrecks Bit goes into a flurry of "NO-NO-NO-NO-NO!!" ROLF!

Thank you, decatetron, for the precise technical terms of Bit's shapes.

  • I love how Bit freaks out at Flynn's bad Recognizer driving. :D

  • Bit is the best. I wish that (he? she?) had more of a role in the movie.

  • The BIT must Return!!!!!!

    It just has too......

  • @Supermann64

If they were using 2010 tech levels in Tron: Legacy, there would be whole frelling SWARMS of the things. 1 kilobyte would be 800 of these guys (or 100 bytes but they are kind of pompous. Let us not speak of the Megabyte, for he wishes to take over Mainframe)

I think that by 2010, these guys would be akin to flies on the internet.

  • @omegathunderstorm And in some case a few Gigabytes @.@ that would be a lot.

  • @omegathunderstorm

Lol,i agree :) But after seeing Tron Legacy i missed some things, the bit or something like it. just more advanced, but nothing. :(

  • @Supermann64 OMG, YES!

I just hope it's not a human incarnation. It still better be a complex bit that involves math and stuff. God, I hate math, but I love bit. It would be a cute pet, wouldn't you programs agree?

  • @MadonnasMrDj yes i would, and i do agree with decatetron He is quiete complex. And I DO understand him truly, just was messing. But yes if he returns he better be computerized. Or they could us byte, or they could use both. And personally i would love to be bale to do the things they do in the movie and for the movie (I.E. Behind the scenes,) I am a begginer programmer. So i ho[pe to help with movies like tron someday. Or program a game like it XD

  • @shwm19 No, Byte is annoying and not as fun.

  • @MadonnasMrDj

Bytes' a bit pompous, but he isn't the most annoying flying companion I've had the displeasure of having follow me. In fact, he's pretty quiet.

I reckon that by 2010, bits have become "clouds" akin to schools of fishes and interact with programs by forming words or shapes. That or merge into Bytes or higher. As long as one Gigabyte doesn't get split into a meglomaniac virus with no power and a highly powerful virus with no sanity, the digital world should be fine.

  • @MadonnasMrDj

Absolute! adly there nothling like "Bit" in Tron Legacy. :(

  • @Supermann64 Yes yes yes yes yes!

  • @Supermann64 BUT IT'S NOT IN LEGACY!!!

Guess who has lots of v's pointing towards his name and is angry...

    This guy

    v v v v v v v v v v v v

  • @Ramstein1939

i know it sucks that theres now bit at all :(

  • @Supermann64

    No apparently he doesn't

  • @OriginalDEFAULT

    i know its a shame :(

  • i love bit!

  • "Bit" is quite mathematically sophisticated. You will understand if you study the geometry of polyhedra. In his rest state Bit morphs between the first stellation of the icosahedron and the dual compound of the dodecahedron and icosahedron who's edges are perpendicular bisectors. When he says "yes" he morphs into an orange octahedron and when he says "no" he morphs into the 35th stellation (of 59 total) of the icosahedron

  • There is also the hypothetical, don't be a jerk.

But I guess you never heard of that one, eh?

  • @decatetron Non intellego. And I am in latin. >.>

  • that sounded so awesomely scientific that i have no other option than to believe you. totally.

  • @decatetron you do realize how much of a sophisticated nerd you are. thats a good thing

  • @decatetron Ummm... What?

  • @decatetron oook......

  • @decatetron ..... i have this i phone app.....

  • Bits are so simple... I love this movie!

  • it says yes five times... that would be 11111 in binary, that would be 31 in decimal... now what does that mean?

  • "yes yes yes yes" xD I always thought Bit was cute.
