Unfortunately there is not a lot of coverage here on the Kashmir situation (focus is more on the war against the Taliban in both Afghanistan and Pakistan) so I shouldn't comment too much on that, though I do appreciate hearing your perspective as someone who lives in azad kashmir. You are thinking emotionally not practically. Why has Pakistan done nothing about the madrassas then and allowed them to flourish? Im not here to make excuses for the Indian Army. They have done things that cannot be justified. The reason the UK has been generous is because we understand our role as a powerful country comes with certain moral obligations such as humanitarian aid. Well thats good to know but are those madrassas 'still' closed? I was responding to a comprehensive article I read in the National Georgraphic that reported certain madrassas in the NW are still harbouring certain ideologies that is dangerous to Pakistan and the west. However I agree with you that it would be unfair to only focus on Pakistan. cont; can be explained by several factors; notably you are a nuclear power (unlike other countries facing war ie Somalia/Afghanistan)- an unstable Pakistan creates jitters in the west because no one wants to see the extremist groups get power in Islamadad with access to nuclear buttons. Thay may come across as far-fetched but it does explain the interest there is.
