  • Wonder if Mathews buys his own suits or MSNBC buys them for him?? He must ruin a bunch every time he interviews someone he spits down the front of his jacket and shirt! What a TV commentator this guy is!! Slobbermouth Mathews!!

  • Chris Matthews should be tared feathered and ran out of town

  • I agree with the posters here... Matthews is pathetic int that he seems to have 1 goal... Beat down and antagonize anyone who doesnt agree with his thinking. He is rude crude and socially unacceptable. MSNBC is committing reporting suicide with hosts like Chris and Olberman and Maddow. Fairness is needed desperately on MSNBC doesnt it?

  • @Ulamaxh20 I think of MSNBC as balancing out FOX. Fox has a heavy rightwing bias while claiming to be "fair and balanced". MSNBC has a clear "liberal" progressive leftwing bias but I don't see them claiming to be fair and balanced. They know they're biased and they don't really try to hide it. I could be wrong though.

  • @derekxnl Yes, you are wrong. That is ok though~ no offense and hope you feel the same. ;-))

  • @derekxnl No, it doesnt balance out FOX. Fox is the only news organization that is right of center. It is not radical. MSNBC is full of RADICALLY left-wing liberal unprofessional reporters. That is a fact! Perhaps you are a liberal yourself and find CNN and ABC, NBC, CBS as no full of propaganda, but those organizations should clean their acts up so they wont continue losing money. The USA is a center right country with less than 25% of the people considering themselves as liberals, right?

  • mathews brays like an ass

  • Chris Matthews is a fucking dick head!! Go GRAVEL!!

  • chris matthews...the wannabe politician who aint got shit campared to beck

  • Let me be the first to congratulate MSBC 's move up in the ratings game...they have just surpassed the RFD channel and soon the Polka Network. Seems to me that Olby , Tingle boy Matthews, , et al are the ones neutering MSNBC ...they aren't even considered compettitors with Fox any more....getting hammered for 8 straight years in ratings could get a little old for most folks but not MSNBC...please keep doing what you have been doing ! Ratings equal Immelt's stock success...what losers!

  • Chris Matthews has the most annoying laugh..ever

  • MSNBC = liberal FOX

  • I don't think you picked the best video to give that comment on. Considering that they were going after a liberal.

  • i see gravel as a progressive and 'liberal' as empty label for the moderate left

  • SHIT the American public are a bunch of stupid retards, how the fuck can you vote for Obama after hearing this!!! I AM ABOUT TO COMMIT MASS MURDER!!!! HHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

  • I can sympathise with your disgust, but you can't blame the US public entirely. You saw the video. It's media sources like Chris Matthews that provide the information for the vast majority of people. Gravel didn't stand a chance because he was never given much time in the debates, in the news or elsewhere in the mainstream media. Most Americans probably don't know who he is because of that. How can people be expected to make informed choices if they are ill-informed?

  • Ralph Nader, Mike Gravel, and Dennis Kucinich!

    REAL HEROES!

  • Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Mike Gravel were the only acceptable candidates in the two-party dictatorship.

  • A little tingle runs up Pussyface Olbermann's leg whenever he talks to Mathews.

  • No, that's Mathews' hand.....

  • lol

  • chris matthews is a dooshbag

  • Chris Matthews, you will RUE THE DAY you laughed at Senator Gravel because HE SPOKE THE TRUTH! There you have it folks, our entire three tier political system exposed for its incompetence in the grand sum of six minutes. And this news anchor laughs it off because he's a whore to the media that cuts his paycheck.

  • That anchor can fuck himself. Who the fuck does he think he is? Since when is it the nature of his job to laugh loudly and shamelessly at presidential candidates? He should be fuckin' beaten.

  • MSNBC is suffering because of anchors like Matthews. Its ratings are abysmal. Less people will be misinformed by him. That should be some consolation.

  • Matthews is a rube and a cheerleader. Gravel will own him every time.

  • Gravel is such a joke. This guy doesn't even know what hes talking about.

  • Actually he does. That's what's sad about our world. He's actually speaking the truth. He just doesn't say it in a pretty, eloquent, smooth-talking, slick way.

  • Majority of congress gave the president approval to go to war in the first place, and this guy wants to put all the blame on the president. I mean is he stupid? The shit that comes out of this guys mouth makes my head spin. Liberals need to grow a brain and wise up if they ever want to win an election. People are not stupid they know the difference between something that ACTUALLY POSSIBLE from something that a candidate says just for political points with their base.

  • Why are you so hostile? I didn't respond to you with any hostility at all.

It's true. The majority of congress gave the approval. But Gravel has relentlessly criticized Congress. Even Democrats. Fact is, President Bush did mislead everyone. He said there was a connection between 9/11 and Iraq. There was none. He said there were WMDs. There were none. And so finally he says that the Iraqis need to be liberated. This is manipulative. He's responsible and he actually should stand trial for it.

  • He didn't put all the blame on the president. Watch the video again.

  • "prosecute the President criminally"

  • One comment taken out of a 6 minute video proves Gravel puts the blame solely on the president? I know you can reason better than that. Listen to the video. The blame is (rightfully) placed on congress and others as well.

  • Why do you keep telling me to watch the video? Just because I draw a different conclusion doesn't mean that watching that brain fuck of a person again will make it all better. He wants to criminally charge the president and NOT the congress that approved the bill in the first place, or the think tanks and non-partisan organizations that ignored facts about the WMDs. This is just some bull shit that he's throwing out of his ass and people like you eat it up. Why don't you watch the video again.

  • It's not a matter of conclusion or opinion. Your statement in factually inaccurate. You can see this for yourself by watching the video. You said he blames only the president -- yet he clearly places the blame on congress and others in this video,

  • There's a difference between criticism and blame. He criticized congress for playing "politics as usual" and not calling out the president on his foreign policy; he blamed the president by asking that congress "prosecute him criminally." You have a serious lack of basic comprehension skills there buddy.

  • He criticized congress for not being to blame? Yikes. Just admit you mis-spoke and be done with it.

  • I'm done with you. If after two comments you still don't get what I'm conveying then you're just playing games with me, and I don't have time to argue with someone who wants to turn my opinion into a joke. I carefully laid out my reasoning to you; if you can't show me the decency to even acknowledge my argument without resorting to fallacious dismissals, then I wont give you the benefit of a retort.

  • For God's sake. You make a false statement. Own up to it.

  • Also, you don't need ( ) around "rightfully" you fucking idiot.

  • "this guy wants to put all the blame on the president. I mean is he stupid?"

You were using a strawman on Gravel & these guys nailed you.

"Also, you don't need ( ) around "rightfully" you fucking idiot."

His use of parentheses was correct. He didn't wish to call into question the concept of "rightfulness". He wanted to add the fact of "righfulness"; PARENTHETICALLY.

He doesn't need me to defend him of course. I just thought it was funny...you calling HIM the fucking idiot.

  • LOL! Kid next time you want to play debate cop actually know what you're talking about before hand. Also, you dont need a ";" after rightfulness; FRAGMENTS.

Gravel uses Bush as the straw man which was my point. He puts all the blame on him by asking that he get charged criminally. Gravel uses Bush because hes an easy target. The man is using a stunt to get attention.

Also, the reason he doesn't need () around rightfully is because without the word the sentence is incomplete.

  • Ha! You're the cop, you raging asshole. Getting past your monitoring of everyone's writing;;; you'll never back down from your overstatement I guess, but where does the buck stop? Bush is the MOST responsible for the debacle.

  • I can't help myself.

Do you know the difference between a "scapegoat" & a "straw man", kid? And again, this is an informal discussion. We've all had spelling, syntax & punctuation errors (you're the only one calling childish names over them), he meant to say: "The blame WAS placed on Congress and others as well." A complete sentence countering your false assertion that Gravel put all the blame on Bush. He wished to add parenthetically that he thinks it is correct to blame Congress as well.

  • Haha! you're funny I like you.

You're also partially right in your argument. If three men rob a bank and I only put one in jail for the entire crime; that is scapegoat. Which is what Gravel is doing in my opinion, but he's following a trend I see on the left. It seems to me that a lot of democrats blame all our problems on Bush, or at least would like to. However, the world isn't so two dimensional, and some of the blame belongs to congress and democrats.

  • Agreed. You're pretty funny too. And I really dig Nina Simone. Cool channel.

  • Agreed that is excepting Gravel. He's not your average leftie. He's a straight shooter. Check these out if you have time:

    watch?v=qpBXYcgXV8M

    watch?v=qpiy2E242bo

  • I don't trust him. I think hes a demigod starved for attention. Some of the things he says are true, but you have to wonder about a mans motivation.

  • I don't trust anyone who says they're going to do anything for me. He's a leftie which means he's a socialist so he's not my cup of tea. Lefties have a right to pick the kind of society they want though. The only way for you & them & me to get along in one country is through Jeffersonian Federalism. Different flavoured states, community standards rule, the 9th & 10th Amendments. Gravel wants National Referendums. Straight Democracy is just about the worst form of government.

  • That will never happen.

  • Perhaps not here & now with how far we've gone down the socialist road to destruction. But America DID pretty much have the system I describe, it's the cause of all of America's former (dissipating) greatness. That is a fact & when it really gets bad around here there is a chance people will pull their heads out of their asses. If you believe otherwise there is no point in you fighting over which kind of collapse we shall have a Fascist flavoured one (McCain) or a Communist flavoured one (Obama)

  • Also, this "never" attitude on the part of citizens is perhaps the main reason we may be fucked. I don't know how many people I talked to said, "Ron Paul is great, but he'll never win". This is State training. Like the baby elephant that is staked to the ground.

  • Chris Matthews is an idiot.

  • Oh please, like Chris Matthews challenged the president

He fucking voted for Bush in 2000,and now he refuses to challenge Obama

    Instead,he continues sucking Obama's dick

  • Mike Gravel is such a badass...I love how he pissed off that tool Chris Matthews

  • hes awesome...go gravel, shame hes older

  • I don't understand how anyone couldn't like Gravel.

  • I want to punch that bastard (Chris Mathews) In the d@m# face!

  • Same with me lol

  • Controlled Media!!!

  • chris matthews is a terd, so is olberman snickering in the background

  • Disgusting interview by both men. They gang up on one of the few truly qualified candidates in this race. Meanwhile, on other occasions, they're kissing Barack Obama's ass every chance they get. They fight back against anyone who criticizes them, but they don't have the balls to hold HIM accountable for his faults. Even I have some disagreements with Mike Gravel, and I'm not afraid to say it.

But this Matthews and Olbermann are some of the most partisan media people in America.

  • Chris Matthews is disgusting.

  • Strangest.laugh.ever.

  • This was the first video I ever saw of Gravel, and I knew anyone who could render Chris Matthews speechless was something special.

  • Hey Chris Mathews, You need to put the crack pipe down and wake up. Your country is being fucked over by idiots. For one thing 9/11 was an inside/outside job. Just look at all the physical, circumstantial, & coincidental evidence. Hard to believe, but our government has been attacked by a wasp. The wasp larva is eating our nation from the inside out. What kind of President, in his right mind, would advocate giving up our liberties for security? Then there is the corruption of elections.

  • Why do major media corporations keep hiring idiots to be their anchors and pundits? Mike Grave simply stated that if Democrats clearly fought Republicans and made Bush veto bills that most Americans agreed with, Americans would see that the Bush administration was against their interests. Mathews laughed during these remarks. Why? Because Gravel has an idiosyncratic way of speaking. Meanwhile, I just saw an interview he had with Anne Coulter where he gave her much more respect. Silly!!

  • Did you hear Matthew's laugh??? holy crap what a weirdo!

  • He always laughs like that.

  • Kiss my ass, Matthews, you dipshit! You refused to hold McCain accountable in that "college tour" interview, and yet you give Mike Gravel a hard time when he's probably from the same party as you?? You people in corporate media make me sick! You manipulate elections and lie to the people and give the right candidates the hardest time, rather than holding Obama accountable. Forget this Reverend Wright bs. That's not accountability; it's triviality. Ask him the tough questions.

  • wow he gives me faith that there is still some hope for humanity

  • Ask not for whom the LION (Mike Gravel) roars...he ROARS for us!!!

  • Chris Mathews laughing at 2:14.... *puke*

These big corporate media demagogues deserve everything bad that happens to them, and more.

  • Beautiful!Sticking it to the media!Go Gravel!!

  • Damn Gravel is a really GOOD GUY! How refreshing! Barely noticed him--thank you media.

  • Ron Paul for President and Mike Gravel for Vice-President on the Libertarian ticket!! I'd love to see it.

  • Mike Gravel is fantastic!

  • and i thought ron paul had it bad. my hatred of the media has risen considerably.

    GRAVEL in '08

  • he can be a good sec of state.

  • two obama aids are hosting this show to try and make him look stupid but he stepped up to their challenge and you can see how ignorant they are.... I would choose gravel for president. I dont beleive anyone in this country has choosen our president sense JFK's assasination because honest presidents stand in the way of this coountry taking over the world.

  • Why are two Obama aids hosting this show?

  • I LOVE satellite delays! Already awkward silences are made even more uncomfortable. I love Gravel's "Does that answer your question?" look and then the few second delay.

  • BWHAHAHAHAHAHA, CHRIS MATHEWS, YOU STUPID IGNORANT SPEC OF FUCKING DIRT WITH A MEGAPHONE.

Chris- "how can pass a law if the president wont sign it"

dear god man read the constitution, spouting that shit to the American public. if i saw chris mathews in public i might just take a thumb tac and stick copy of the constitution in his head, then repeatedly punch him in the forehead.

had to get that out, we need old school news back... *sigh*

  • If Gravel truly has the best foreign policy judgment (as he claims), it is inexcusable for him to just "hide under a rock" for the past 30 years and deny the American people the benefit of his leadership.

Where was he during Iran Contra, Mogadishu, and Gulf War I?

  • whoa, hiding under a rock? poor guy doesn't get any media coverage and no one knows who he is. he virtually ended the vietnam war himself. and now that he's running for president, I bet the majority of the US would vote for him-- if they knew he existed. He is by far the only qualified candidate in this entire race- democrat or republican.

  • no...obama and hilary are busch league...and he is a seasoned pro. too bad america cant see that due to media censoring.

  • yes the guy that practically single handedly ended the draft and got us out of viet nam isn't nearly in the same league of corruption as hillary and obama, both of which are among the top 10 most corrupt politicians in the country (judicial watch)

  • "Hiding under a rock!"

    LOL that was great.

  • Do you love this country? the world? yourself?

Do you want to end the war? be empowered?

Vote for Senator Mike Gravel on Super Tuesday, February 5th, 2008!

  • Why aren't we electing guys like this? Democrat establishment is as phony as the Republicans.

  • damn straight.

  • chris matthews is a dumbass bitch, who is absolutely corrupt, ignorant and all of that bad stuff.

Mike gravel is the best thinker!

  • Give 'em hell Gravel! I'm a Ron Paul supporter who liked your effort to speak some sense into the that blabber box we know as chris matthews.

  • The only way we can responsibly end this war is to fix what we broke.

We must make sure when we leave Iraq that the country has a government, army, and police force capable of maintaining order.

If we leave and the country descends into civil war, followed by a take over by Iran, the blood will be on ALL our hands.

You can blame Bush for getting us into this mess, but we all take the blame for failing to restore Iraq into a functional country again.

  • I like a lot of what I'm hearing from Senator Gravel. The national ballot initiative. Ending the war! I wonder what the rest of his views are.

  • Here's where you can find out:

Do a youtube search for "Gravel @Google"

  • They are afraid of Gravel cause he brings big change and exposes the corruption. This is why they gave Gravel less time to speak. This is why they banned Gravel from the other debates cause he exposed Clinton for voting for the Liberman Kyle amendment that causes us to go to war with Iran. Mike Gravel is the seasoned warrior expert in stopping wars which certain societies do not want to see. If you want big change vote for Mike Gravel.

  • ron paul 2008

  • Mike has the courage the other candidates never will have.GO MIKE.

  • yeah because his career is way behind him, he has nothing to lose.

  • Perturpis.

  • "Don't you see what muslims are doing"? Don't YOU see what AMERICANS are doing? What makes our killing more justified than theirs? And since when is Russia our enemy -the 60's are long gone.

  • lol you need to get out more and actually realize why they're doing what they're doing. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. They need a motive to do what they're doing. I have had people from those areas actually tell me why they're doing it and it's good reasons too.

  • if this country had an ounce of intelligence kuchinich and gravel would be president and vice president.

  • Chris Mathews the Idiot, right next to Tucker

    Carlson.

  • Learn about Presidential Candidate Mike Gravel by watching the short series-

  • long over-dued bitch slap

    here comes

  • Mike Gravel Democrate Alaska

    HE RULES

    A GREAT MAN!

  • Wow, he really can go toe to toe with Matthews!!

  • very fresh, thanks for the video

  • Cmon people we need to fight for our country. Its guys like Gravel and Paul that are sticking their necks out to give us truth and freedom. True patriots we need Paul/Gravel 08.

    A dream ticket.

  • Gravel is badass

  • Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

Ideologically I fully support him, practically I have my doubts about the sales tax. But he's what I demand, not more, not less.

  • goddamn gravel is awesome.

  • everything I've seen and heard about this guy is truly amazing.. i literally get goose bumps sometimes when i hear him speak. So many people that interview him try to stomp him and make him look bad, and every time Gravel comes out on top. He speaks the truth, and you cant argue with that

  • This guy has redeemed what little faith I had left in American politics, which is corrupt beyond belief. God bless ya Mike!

Matthews ought to be ashamed of himself, the US media sucks so much corporate cock it's a wonder it remembers how to breathe.

  • "the US media sucks so much corporate cock it's a wonder it remembers how to breathe."

ahahahaah, that made me laugh. well said.

  • Congrats, Gravel, that was an awesome counterattack.

  • He's a smart guy and he knows what he's doing...But Gravel cannot do public speaking worth shit.

  • "He's a smart guy and knows what he's doing"....sounds like a good candidate, eh! GO MIKE

  • gravel should team up with kucinich and ron paul. a truth and accountability movement.

  • Gravel is awesome...Gravel president and Kucinich vice president would be amazing

  • he's great, but isn't he splitting away the vote from Dennis Kucinich?

  • Man wouldnt it be great if Gravel and Kucinich joined forces? One doesnt have to lose for the other will win. The world needs Gravel, Kucinich, Ron Paul and maybe Bloomberg in the same government. They will get assassinated ofc by the military-industrial complex and they will make it look like someone else did it but this is the only way we might wake up and join these 4 and fight for our liberties.

  • yeah i think it's generally assumed that if Kucinich was pres Gravel would be VP

I think Ron Paul would be the most amazing Secretary of Defense for such an administration because his ideas on foreign policy are perfect.

  • well he is smart on defense, but he's very clued up on economics too, kucinich is right when he says that Americans are already paying for universal healthcare but aren't getting it, but the way I see it, America needs a pretty brutal reality check very soon, you guys have got to cut spending right back to the bone, after that if healthcare is still on the agenda then great, even if it's more expensive because of govt. involvement.

  • RP wants to transition to free market HC, the key word is transition, so if kucinich has a better more efficient way for government to do it, RP would be for it, and would pay for it by drastically cutting foreign/military/drug war spending.

  • yer the thing is socialised healthcare is a monopoly and the pharmaceutical companies will run it even if it is "government owned" coz they're in bed together

as you can see i have criticisms of both right and left wing policies :/

  • i know but i don't like free market economics because it means people are allowed to own as much propery as they want and charge people rent (ie. enslave other people so they don't have to serve society)

or own as much stocks and shares as they want so they get dividends for doing no work, while the wage of the workers is kept as low as possible

  • yes that's true, but RP's position is to not legislate things that aren't expressly dictated as Federal Government duties by the constitution, so even though he's for free markets, he's wants the federal government to be powerless to prevent the individual states from legislating against it,

  • so if the governor of your state rolls over and lets wallmart buy everything, you'll know who to lynch, the federal governments excessive power is what makes it so easy for corporations to get what they want.

  • The problem with that is so much of our economy is in the hands of so few, these corporations cand dictate to the states, as they do now.

When the power of the corporations extends globally, states have little more power than the individuals.

  • yer i support a lot of his stances and he has great ideas for reforming health care, but he's just toooooo right wing, and kucinich is tooooo left wing, they have to team up and find the right compromises!

  • I agree, so it's a good thing they're friends.

  • The entire nation needs to do that!

Take a look at the National Iniative for Democracy.

The PEOPLE are certainly more capable of comprimising and comming up with a sensible solution for us.

If our law doesn't work, WE can change it.

  • When Hillary gets elected and the country is on verge of collapse, people in 2-3 years will be going "Why didn't we vote for Gravel or R Paul"

  • Mathews = Nazi

  • Boy another ass whipping for Chris "John stewart was mean to me" Matthews. When Matthews isn't busy attacking Hillary Clinton, he is sucking up to Rudy Giuliani. It's great to see people turn the tables on this fat loser. Gravel is a real man....more then can be said for Chris.

  • Mike Gravel kicked his ass just like Jon Stewart. What a pleasure to watch.

  • Another guy that isn't afraid to speak the truth.

  • I love Mike's realness and passion. If it weren't for Ron Paul I'd probably be voting for him.

  • i think they should both be in the same campain

together they would be a good team

  • Chris Mathews is a jerk. Gravel is the only honorable candidate.

  • You either make sure that grandpa Gravel becomes president and Bush gets prosecuted criminaly for all his crimes or i want to see complete extermination of all the roaches in all the Divided-FuckedUp-States-Of-American-Bullshit

  • If grandpa Gravel doesn't get ellected as president in 2008 none of you bitches out there deserve to see another day after the ellection ...

  • If there is one principle more deeply rooted in the mind of every American, it is that we should have nothing to do with conquest.

    Thomas Jefferson

The United States Empire (troops around the world)

    Japan 33,453

    Germany 70,000

    South Korea 24,500

    Kuwait 49,100

    Iraq 156,300

Total number of US troops around the world 387,400 in 120 countries

Bring all of them home. Vote for Ron Paul 2008! Mike Gravel is cool too.

  • Chris Mathews laughs like an idiot. Gravel reveals how stupid the media is, and Mathews just trys to laugh.
