  • Why are the orange silkworms different from the normal fat white silkworms?

  • this was very helpful because iam reading about silkworms in this funny book called project mulberry and i never saw silkworms before there so gross looking!!! and did you know that the silk that they make can be made into a clothing (dress shirt pants ect.) and the only way to make it in to that stuff isto kill them!! and to do that you boil them in hot water and you take out the silk and make stuff :) its sad but cool

  • @noniluetjen i read that book too its very interesting i came to this website just because i read the book

  • oh and please tell me if they pupate without a cocoon will they die ? I have one that seems to be doing that didn't set up the box right till it was to late arrrgg ! : )

  • is that black electrical tape inside the box ? :)

  • Those look like king worms my lizard eats

  • What's up with that one that's half as long as the others and just has a black stump instead of an ass end.

  • how long does it take to make the cocoon

  • Close to 2 days I think... not positive though

  • there is another type of worm inside~ and i saw no cocoons sorry for the bad comments this is not from cherishx ix from her bro so i, me her bro hope u could do it when he is spinning

  • How long does it normally take to finish cocooning? and what happens when the silkworm is disturbed during the process eg. pulled away -_-''

  • @SaeYoung I used to have silkworm pets and I moved them around while they were making their coccoon. They ended up going into the pupae phase without their coccoon so they just laid there on the box. I was a little kid so I didn't know better. I didn't get to see if they grew into moths or not. I don't think it would affect them though. The coccoon is probably only necessary in the wild to protect themselves. :)

  • @ray8u123

Silkworms do not exist in the wild, they are totally domesticated : )

  • It was filmed during the night (sorry for the late answer...)

  • there is a ill worm!

  • shhh....

  • It is not ill it is turning into a pupa without

    spinning a cocoon.

  • like 5 months
