@Coolio256Foolio not in the least bit. This is way better. Plus the CHS version, they changed so much of it (the melody), that it really doesn't sound like ITH anymore.

This show is still talked about in a select group of band geeks at my school! We had the band split between a band for the competitions that practiced 9 hours a week, and the band that did the football games that practiced one day a week. the competition band was at that competition, and we came in first for class 1A (we had 27ish people including guard and pit) theres a video on my profile.

this is disgusting... the music is chopped up and horribly arranged. the band can't stay in key let alone play the melodies with the appropriate feel and emotion. the vocalists butcher the style. the whole thing took a beautiful musical and reduced it to unbearable garbage.

This is excellent!! Sure I could see some things that could be cleaner, but I LOVED USNAVI and that's the main part of the show, right? I liked your Benny too! Don't listen to the bad stuff- this is great!

at the bridgeport finals a judge took 2 points off of our(danbury) score (there was another judge in her same category) just because she"think that having rap doesn't fit in a marching band show!" fuck her

@mkyb843 yea, the same thing happend for our band. In the heights is a very new style of marching music, and many of the judges prefer a more traditional one.

i think danbury high school did a better technical job at this this year but i believe wethersfeild had better formations.

@xxtennisrockerdudexx maybe its the audio but personally i didnt like it. like i said before its my favorite play/musical and ive seen it live therefore i did not like it. and ive seen some pretty sucky bands get high scores so that 90 really doesnt make much of a difference.

@nenabella745li obviously the judges liked it seeing that Wethersfield took 1st place in its class.  also Lin Manuel from ITH liked it as well seeing that he favorited this video on his youtube channel. If you don't like what you saw, please keep your comments to yourself. This band worked extremely hard and put in countless hours rehearsing for this. As alway WHS Band: Fantastic Job!

heh, yall did the same thing my school did, Hackensack High School, NJ, except we didnt do the whole intro, our Drum Major rapped the part up until "hey yall good mornin" and we did the opening, piragua, no me digua, alabanza, and the in the heights finale. I've got to say, this is my favorite show of the season. I'm from the Montville High band and I make sure to take the time out at each competition to watch you guys. The only critique I have is that the screamer at the end of the finale from the show is missing, but that's just me being a drama nerd and a band geek mixed into one. Keep up the great work guys and just know you've got at least one fan from MHS.

I love that they did this! It's always a big risk basing a show on a theme most of the audience can't immediately identify. Do you know how their season's going?

The season is going well. We have won first place for our class in 3 competitions, and have won second place for our class in one competition. Our season is coming to an end soon though. We only have one more competition this saturday. The audience seems to like the show, and for the most part the judges do too. (though some prefer a more traditional type of show)
