I don't think Vicky really had sex with Joey. She probably felt like there was no point in being honest with him by telling him she didn't do anything, Jake probably wouldn't have believed her anyway. Once Jake had his own reason to believe something or someone was trying to harm him that was it, it was locked into his mind and NOBODY could convince him otherwise.
