  • Thx for making video man. Will subscribe

  • $ 79? That's a great gun!

  • Can you buy these in a black finish? I was shooting one of my friends and there was a horrible glare on the back of the sight and you couldnt see the front sight.

  • i got this gun for free tonight being a designated driver, but my safty switch is horizontal.

    is mine a older model?

  • saturday specials are .38's and .22's are a range guns

  • I use to carry this pistol when I was Hooker

  • @HistoryHmoobGuy funny the same comment was in millerusaf review video of this gun. copy cat

  • better than nothing!!

  • first thing i do when i get a jennings or a bryco or a hipoint - i tye rope too the trigger guard and it makes a better anchor than a pistol.. do too the materials its made from..zinc and copper-inwhich are soft metals-aluminum alloy firing pin and cap..cheap gun means death-to the owner..live is priceless at least buy yourself a weapon worth the amount your worth and buying one for the wife means that guy hates his wife. i bought my wife a berretta 40.cal that is what she likes...not a dna gun

  • @TANKSYRUP how many hipoints or jennings for that matter have you owned?

  • @GNut1980 too many

  • @TANKSYRUP lol

  • @TANKSYRUP its no full true..my jimenz is reliable..i just keep the little guy clean thats it

  • i will give you 100 for it

  • They suck, not worth talking about!!!!

  • @sootch00 Where can you buy these guns?

  • The key to getting the J-22 to work 100% is testing ammo 22lr is cheap so dont Bi&ch about it go to wal mart an get 4 or 5 different types of ammo then go to the range an test fire it with 10 rounds of each type of ammo write down witch ammo works good how many jams etc... Choose the best ammo for your J-22 then make sure to break it in 50 to 100 rounds did mine perfect no more jams etc... after about 150 rounds take it apart an clean it.. look for rub marks on the frame an sand it.

  • Watch me fire mine....... It does not jam ...

But half jams!!!! AND corrects ITSELF

    My god

  • I used to have one of these my father gave it to me for a birthday present and it was a cool little gun. At night it was always in my back pocket, good for answering the door late at night or taking a walk outside, I know it's weak but it's nice to have anything. It used to jam alot but after tuning it, I could'nt get it to malfunction if i kept it clean. I figure if i had to use it, I could at least slow the people breaking into my house long enough to get another weapon.

  • can somebody do a full break down. i need help breaking it down also taking the pistol grips off.

  • no mags

  • i dont have a lot of money and i needed some protection so i bough a ja 25 do you think it will protect me if i put good ammo through it

  • @ironmanzach1

Only you can protect you. The gun is just a tool to facilitate that. Keep your eyes/ears open and hopefully you'll never need to pull it.

A .25 pocket pistol is better than your fists.

The first rule of a gunfight: "Have a gun".

You're already one step ahead of most people and 9/10 criminals will still crap their pants at the sight of your little peashooter.

92% of the 2.5-3.5 million "defense with gun" cases a year end with no shots fired.

So essentially, yes, your .25 is fine.

  • I got the same one witta nickel finish

  • @papergunbuilder13 thats ur own dumbass fault, who keeps a gun loaded when not downrange or in some sort of use. hope it teaches u a lesson on gun safety,.hate to be harsh and sound like an asshole but even somerhibg as simple as not having a round in the chamber or having the safety on could have easily prevented this.

  • @motlencore89 I keep a round in the chamber on guns with no safety all the time and they don't "just go off".

I think there is more to his story. A good holster that covers the trigger guard and adherence to the Four Basic Rules will prevent 99.99% of negligent discharges.

  • @ryspace i agree i bet the guy probably did something dumb

  • This has to be the worst gun that I have ever bought. I had it sitting by my laptop and it went off. I did not touch it I was about 2 feet away from it when it went off. The bullet went into my computer and bounced off the hard drive then smashed the motherboard and then came up through the ctrl key.

  • @papergunbuilder13 I suspect there is more to your story. Guns rarely "just go off", even cheapo guns like this.

Also, maybe you should consider something a little nicer for self-defense. Even a Hi-Point is probably a better choice to carry with a round in the chamber than one of these.

That said, I like these old "Saturday Night Specials".

  • I learned on this pistol, I m ready to move mountains to find another one of these little guys

    their borderline adorable haha

  • MP-25 Raven anybody? This looks like a .22 caliber clone of the old Raven Arms guns. Hope it's more accurate though :)

  • i use this gun for EDC cuz i hate carrying a 9mm

  • i was out with my dads J 22 today and put 2 rounds through it. the second round the gun literally blew up and the firing pin and everything directly behind the chamber flew out and hit me in the face i was wondering if there was somewhere i could get another one or something like that?

  • i was out with my dads J 22 today and put 2 rounds through it. the second round the gun literally blew up and the firing pin and everything directly behind the chamber flew out and hit me in the face i was wondering if there was somewhere i could get another one or something like that?

  • very informative. I was at the range yesterday and my neighbor has a j22. Same problem after trying 5 different brands we got to the cci and it worked flawlessly. This is a neat little gun. Wish I had one myself.

  • Thanks I could not figure out how to brake down my J22, but thanks to you I know now. I was at a pawn shop with my dad and saw this gun, they wanted $99 dollars for it, I told my dad that it was neat and looked like my Walther PPK, the next day my dad bought it for me. Mine has a slide safety but otherwise looks just like yours.

  • i think jimenez makes them now ive fired one not a bad way to spend 140 bucks

  • I just got my jennings my grandfather had it in her sisters safe she doesnt really like guns but i have it now and i shot this gun when i was little .. i cleaned it up took it out to the range and fired it and this gun is so damn loud lol it sounds like a 9 mm

  • @CrypticNexus777 I fired mine without hearing protection thinking Oh it's a .22 Like a glorified BB pistol. Little bastard is LOUD!!! CCI Mini-Mags and this Pistol are a VERY LOUD mix.

  • @sonofjabba i know dude its like a pocket tank hahaha

  • they are still made under name of jiminez j-22

  • do you think it would work ok as a self defense weapon?

  • these little guys are straight up killers.

  • dude I got this pistol for 100 bucks did I got ripped off

  • dude I got this pistol for 100 bucks

  • Thanks for the video Do you know where I can pick one up at ? Thank you -Jason

  • Omg it's a hooker pistol!

  • my endikater pin is stuck back in the buttin in the back how do i get it back in so i can brakedown

  • just won one on gb for $67 lol. Hopefully it doesnt suck

  • im getting one for 50 bucks

  • ohhh its so coute

  • does anyone know where in the hell i cant get a clip or mag for one

  • @redneck192 the internet

  • I have the .25acp version of this gun got it for 80 total. I figured out how to field strip it when i accidently dropped it on the backside and it literally fell apart because that little firing pin housing thing got pushed in haha. Its deff el chealp but its run flawless the few times i have shot it.

  • your video helped alot thank you the ammo is an issue................we are also looking for clips for this pistol and had bought 2 from cheaper than dirt and they didnt quite fit properly would not click in right...............do you know where and who to buy the right clips for the J 22?

  • I,ve found if you clean it after every 2 mags ,about any jacketed ammo works well . thanks for the heads up on the mini mags

  • Thanks for the informative video. I have one, and they are surprisingly accurate if you do your part. They are what they are, a neat little pistol that's inexpensive. And like you said, any gun is better than no gun.

  • These pistols looks like Cobra ca380? so i am wondering is there any connection

  • thanks for the vid mine has been needing some cleaning

  • i got a brand new one for my wife like 3 months ago and it sucks ive even had this gun go off on its own

  • @jimmy4our wtf i was think about to pick one up . for 130 i think it too much for it

  • @jimmy4our

    That is terrifying...

  • @jimmy4our Don't keep one in the chamber. Not with this little guy anyways.

  • @jimmy4our No. It does not suck. No gun "sucks". Some guns may be a bit higher quality than others, but I can gaurentee you that this is a hell of a lot more potent that pepper spray or a sharp stick.

  • I've always wanted one of these little guys. Fun little gun. Thanks for this video!

  • my father has a jennings 9 and its shit

  • what is the length from one end from the other?

  • sweet gun

  • hay mana cool gun where did u get it at ?

  • @redfish417 if u didnt pay attention to the video he explained how he got it..

  • thank you soo much..i got the same pistol in .25 acp (model 25) in matte silver and had no idea how to field stip it..lol thanks again..great vid..

  • My buddy has one of these... Very loud, jams a lot. Still is neat though and for the price back then i guess it was cool lol.

  • where can u get those at now? u cant find them anywhere anymore... i would really like to have one!

  • @TheJul111 I was recently at a gun show, and a local gun store there carries a whole line of Jimenez guns, which I believe are the current version of this gun. They had this little .22 for $115. I don't remember if they also had a .25 version. Then, there was a slightly larger model for around $160 or so in both .32 and .380. For a few bucks more, you can get a 9mm Jimenez, which I understand kicks like a mule because it's so small, though much larger than the .32/.380.

  • i am ten i i would like to but a 22 pistol do you suggest any

  • My dad showed me his once but won't let me shoot it because he's afraid of it blowing up. Would it really blow up in my hand?

  • @SecretAsianMan09 probally this pistol kinda jams alot

  • I have one of these. it jams up sometimes but its still my favorite pistol that i own

  • its so funny shooting .22's cause they have like no recoil.

  • Thanks for the video. I always enjoy your information and it's fun to see you shoot!

  • I was just shooting this.

  • jammmer!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Will CCM High Volicty work?

  • @Captb55806 CCI Mini-Mags are what work best in my Jennings J-22. Thanks~

  • @sootch00 thats what i keep in my clips mine is an older model all black with a different safety all black i like it though

  • @sootch00 yep and CCI stingers too

  • @Captb55806 "HIGH VELOCITY CCI's" OR "CCI MINI MAG" WILL WORK JUST FINE BUT THE GOLD ONES ONLY THE CHROME COLORED SHELLS JAM.

  • i dont know about being safe because a 22 can bounce around it can hit ur finger and hit ur heart so dont trust on being safe

  • do u no where i can get 1 now

  • my gramps has one i love it

  • Interesting review, I enjoyed it.

When I started shooting, years ago, the first range I went to had rows of this kind of cheap pistol (Jennings, Bryco, etc.) for sale, as well as a few nice guns from traditional makers. It was kind of a low-rent environment, but I didn't know enough about guns or ranges at the time to realize that.

You got a decent group! The Jennings J-22 has a slightly better reputation than other "Ring of Fire" guns. One occasionally finds serious shooters who own one.

  • (and obviously, sootch00 would be an example of a serious shooter who still owns one of these.)

  • I've had problems with this gun using the old magazines. I bought newer ones of ebay and it doesn't jam as much which is good, because I was going to get rid of it. Now its all good! thanks for the vid

  • where do i buy clips for this kind of gun

  • JIMENEZ now makes this gun in 22lr and 25cal

  • Holy shit, 45 buck? That's inexpensive but cool gun. Nice review.

  • you can buy hand guns for 100 dollers?

  • @tweak114 If you live in the U.S. get off the computer and visit a gun store, a good handgun can be had for less than $150

  • @wheremygat187 i dont sooooo ya canada is were i live

  • @tweak114 they dont let you have guns there? that sucks..

  • @wheremygat187 they let you have guns but for a hand gun you need a special licance

  • i had a problem when i was trying to put it back together...it didn't want to cock back fully what should i do?

  • sootch your saying that any gun is better than no gun is the truth...keep up the great vids friend.

  • seems like a nice little piece sounded like it packed more punch than i thought it would.

  • $79?? For a Jennings? Wow, you were really raping people. I'll give you $10 for it.

  • @m1ghtysauc3 obviously you have never owned or shot one.

  • @wheremygat187 Actually I have. That's why I said what I said. I'm not a minority in this opinion.

  • where can i get one of these novelties?

  • youre surgical with this homie

  • "A gun, period, is better than no gun" Epic.

  • Some gun is better than no gun - AMEN.

  • ill buy it from u

  • i used to have many malfunctions, and thought it was the gun.... well it is but... it would jam every few rounds. after keeping it clean and oiled it was able to empty clip after clip with no misfires. best ammo i used for it was the Remignton thunderbolts, for except for the duds every 100 rounds

  • that looks like a toy gun

  • thats a really coooooool small gun

  • you can still get these guns but the manufacturer is now called jimenez arms out of vegas. The 25acp version sells for only $125

  • and would cost 5000$ here in australia on the black market becoz hardly any people own hand guns legally

  • this is a jigaboo sat night special

  • Racist pricks shouldn't breed

  • @dvybe how is that racist? if anything its a sterotype...however since I have experience with this piece of shit being used against by a person of the aforementioned race it does not even qualify as that?

  • Good luck .. you cant get jennings .. there a very rare handgun ... i have one its a bad ass !!!!! .22 long rifle it was my grandmothers she got it from a police officer it was his back up gun .. but yeah they dont make them ... its a very awesome gun .. i wouldnt take anything for it

  • cool i want one

  • $70, hell I would pay over $100 if I could find one. I really like this gun, anyone know where I can buy one??? much appreciataion for whoever can tell me. Thanks

  • a pawn shop

  • phillippines the gun shop only 44$

  • @eastofakron mate in australia on tha black market this gun would be worth 2000$ to 5000$ no shit i would buy ten of the things for 100$ if i could get em and get them in australia nd too have a pistol licence in australia powahhh tha gun laws are fukd in tha head u cant even been to court for a speeding ticket or u couldent even get a 22 rifle thats how strong our gun laws are

  • Wow, here in the states, they are considered saturday nght specials and are looked down upon. I really like this little gun, shows how different our countries can be.

  • love this little gun! it's funny though...everyone complains about reliability problems with these weapons and all i shoot through mine is remington thunderbolts and i cant make mine jam! I clean it regularly though but i expected much less. Great gun!

  • correction 9mm lol

  • i had a jennings 8mm that i paid 70 bucks for new but never could get more than 3 rounds threw it with out a jam and tried every ammo i could buy for it i eventualy gave it away and that friend threw it away after about a week, not very good quality, guess you get what you pay for

  • My Pastor just passed away last Thanksgiving. I was helping his wife move some furniture out of the office and she found a pistol just like this one. I am going to clean it for her. This video helped out so much. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I will be able to get it clean for her. YOU R THE MAN! Love your videos!!!!

  • nice video 22 cal i love them take a look i have a nice single shot 22 cal nice video thanks

  • These things are loud. The only thing i dont like is that the gun only likes good ammo. lol

  • Just bought one today thanks for the vid! Hope to hear/see more from you about it!

  • These are 170 bucks now.

  • it depends where you get them, my local dealer has a jeminez j22 for $120

  • yeah I guess so, isn't the jiminez arms one called the JA-22?

    just wondering

  • does anybody know where i can get the

take down botton, spring and the firing pin

  • they are still being made under jimenez arms and is now called ja-22

  • I have that same gun but with wood grips, same functioning problems, I load mine with tri-shot ammo and it reduces issues but not eliminates them.

  • god i wish guns were still unser $100 of that quality

  • i wish we were alowed guns in the uk

  • You cannot own any guns?

  • air guns up to 12 ft lb of power air pistol up to 6 ft lb...shotguns can be had quite easy but are limted to two shots..pistols never can be held rifle can be but are diffacult to get they have to be strightpull single shot jobs no simiauto there so hard to get it no point trying unless u have alot of land...it basicly sucj hassle getting a licance there is no point...htere is an automatic

  • 5 year prison sentance if u dont have a licance or your air rifle is over powerd..u can expect longer if u have ammo for it..there was some one a few years back who cought some one robbing his house so he shot them with his shotgun he got sent to prison for 6 years eve ntho his gun was legaly kept..it boggles the mind

  • i got one of those just watched you're video, wish i would have know hollow points wouldn't agree with the gun

  • Try cci stinger hollow points they work great in mine.

  • Still my favorite little gun...........

  • Comment removed

  • if u aim at the head u most likely kill someone no matter what kind of gun u have

  • Haha, Jennings - I would worry about the slide flying off and hitting me in the head - POS. Great vid though.

  • i own one, and i would not worry about the slide flying off, it's durably stable. just an issue with the feed system

  • Actually now that I have considered it, it looks like fun. I just might pick one up sometime if I can get it cheap enough.

  • dear lord, i have one of these, feeding and reliablilty issues all around

  • i own one as well, issues are either the casing gets caught in the slide apon ejection or an issue with the feeding from magazine into breach

  • Can it kill me when it shoot me to the head on 100m?

  • LOL! You would probably be safe at 100 meters... but you never know.

  • Hey dude I live in canada and ill pay 160 for just one, under the table, message me back or reply thanks

  • Sorry, but it's been in my collection for 20 years. Thanks away~

  • i used stingers in a j22 and was shooting at a old stop sign that was discarded ...it could NOT penetrate it at 10yards it just made dents in it lmao i sold it after that.might as well be using a slingshot

  • THATS AWESOME I WANT 1

  • i love it.. it looks like a hammerless walther ppk :)
