  • @pokegirlful Hi, thanks for watching! I have subtitles on this video in Spanish so Spanish-speakers often write comments. But yours is the first Spanglish one. LOL!

  • @pokegirlful

maybe becuase this video is produced by a spanish person?

  • @pokegirlful ur dumb

  • Eres simplemente deliciosa! Me encanta cómo explicas!

  • It's cute even without the sleeves! Good tutorial!

  • finally a useful video

  • Thanks! Your instruction makes everthing so clear and easy to follow... o.o

I'm never paying for clothes again, gonna make everything myself! hahaha :D

  • wow you are great!

this is what i was looking for in months xD

its so easy with you, thanks :D

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! GOD LOVE YOU!

  • i really like the fact that you used newspaper to make your pattern.. i do this alot. plus it reminds me of when i was a little girl, and my grammy made me a little skirt and vest outfit, and when she was finished with the newspaper pattern, she taped it together and let me wear it <3 so i ran around the house wearing the funny pages :)

  • @stykzorz LOL that's cool.

  • Thank you for watching my sewing tutorials! My newer videos are based on the things you learn in earlier videos so they will be with less detail and explanation after lesson 13. But if you have watched all the lessons you will have no problem keeping up!

  • you are so nice making this useful video^^,)

Thx for giving me an inspiration not to give up making thing done...Wish you have a great day

  • Ok I will use some old thriftstore sheets for fabric untill I get a good mold for myself, then I will use my nice fabric . want to experiment with different types of sleeves so I will look and see if you have tutorials on that too.

  • I was soo depressed. I bought some beautiful fabric and a pattern for a shirt and I cant follow the pattern nor do I understand how to put it together. Your video is such a blessing to me. I am so happy. I am going to make my own patterns and now you showed me how and how to assemble it. Thank you so so much for shareing your knowledge with me. Your awesome .

  • I am glad you found the video useful. Even so, you may want to make a test t-shirt first, on a different fabric just in case. Usually the second or third tries come out better because the first try is where you learn from your mistakes.

  • **A little tip on tracing, I trace the pattern on to poster board and cut it out, then I fold the fabric (Depending on the pattern) and pin the fabric, then I place the poster board on the fabric and hold it in place with double sided tape. Not sure if this is something that everyone already know, but it really helps. if you use paper it tears easy, that is why I prefer to use poster board.

  • Thank you for your sewing tips. I like the posterboard idea for when I get my patterns just perfect!

  • No problem :)

  • This is a really nice way of making clothing, I usually buy patterns from crafting stores (most of them are over priced). Thanks for showing us how! :D

    *Runs off to try it*

  • thanks for showing me how 2 do that ur awsome

  • Thank you for subscribing. I have seen your fashion drawings they are really very creative. You can actually cut patterns for any of your designs by draping and cutting them in a free manner like I show here. It is actually easier to do it on someone ELSE or on a dress form, but this is one way if you don´t have the other two.

  • Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome!!

  • You are such a good teacher :D thank you sooooo much. :] Faveourited AND subbed thanks again ;]

  • Thank you! I fould this very helpful ;)

  • This is such a good way to explain how to make a shirt! Wow!! It helped me out making a dress like top! Thanks!!!!

  • interesting :D

  • I heard you say your machine is in the shop. I suggest you get a vintage singer, either a straight stitch or a singer 401a, if you ebay, dont know if you have ebay in argentina, or if there is shipping to there, but if so get yourself one, and those machines will never fail you, with oil and lubeing them yourself they will last forever. Just a suggestion, hoping to help you out. I know what a trip to the repair shop can cost!!! Have a blessed day, and really enjoying your videos!!! Excelentes!

  • Thank you for the advice. I have heard that the old antique machines last forever and never break. I do want to find one if I can. Even if it is one with foot peddles! I have heard they are also stronger and go through denim and other sturdy materials better too.

  • you are so awsome. you explain to me in 20 minutes what my teacher did in 6months.

  • @champagnex damn thats scary

  • @yeahdie27 you are scary..

  • thank you thank you! thank you!! its so simple and easy to follow!! i'l add this to my favorites ;)

  • Gracias por el video, muy informativo!

  • Stupid question time... How on earth do you get the neckline curve hemmed without bunching? Mine never seams to line up without it looking "pulled" in places !???!

  • It is a good question. One way is to buy what is called "ribbing". and sew a piece into the neckline. But it is expensive. I like to take a piece of matching fabric and sew in a piece that is the same shape as the neckline right sides together. Then flip the flap to the inside so that the seam edge looks doubled. You can do this BEFORE sewing the front and back of the t-shirt together. At some point I am going to do a video showing answers to questions I have recieved.

  • Perfect! Thanks. I usually cut out the neckline on my purchased T's. So putting them back in is new to me! I have been cursed with wide shoulders and a leaner torso. Getting shirts to "fit" me the way I like it has always been an issue. I am a novice, hobby-type seamstress. Your videos are so easy to understand and so very helpful. Please keep them coming!!!!

  • its a really good idea if you want to start from scratch but why dont you just get the measurments from a t-shirt that you already have ?

  • Actually that is another good way. There is a girl on youtube who shows how to make a t-shirt using other t-shirts as reference for the size. It is called "Making a T-Shirt for Cosplay " and it is a well viewed video. I don´t usually bring that up since she is kind of the "competition" but I have to admit she is good!

  • OK, I´ll give the channel it is "tusense" .

  • youre so hot

  • you guys are wussy!

  • I can´t WAIT to see what you think about my "How to Make a Basic Pant" video that I am working on and will be uploading within the next few days!

  • wow thankyou ,

    youre great :D

  • this is just what i needed. thanks

  • I'm working on a shirt right now. This was very useful in the long run. Thank you~!

  • thanks this would help me alot as m learning now

  • wow

  • Yes, the white tank top that I am modeling at the very end of the video is the shirt that I made! In part II I show how to add the sleeves. I did not make the blue dress that I am wearing throughout the video, however it is a very simple dress and would not be difficult to make.

  • Did you make the shirt you are wearing in this video.

  • WOW. You're good. I never knew how easy it was to draft your own pattern. Thanks!

  • Very cool. Are T-shirts expensive there? Poster Board is very close to the stuff they tell you to do your finished shirt pattern with in school. I like to use newspaper too, lol.
