@goofydonaldsora Just a heads up, (hoping you didnt order it yet) you will be spending more for the core 2 duos than the i3,5,or7s, they have the same starting price of 1700 but want $200 for "Core 2 Duo T9600 2.8GHz" when you can just get "Core i5 540M 2.53GHz (3.06GHz Turbo Mode)" for only $50 and it is MUCH MUCH better, how they build the i cores useing HT tech its much more powerful than the core 2's plus its the new standard so theres not point in getting the core 2, now...

@goofydonaldsora with the video card you should be able to run WoW with no problem, you can get the duel card but really not needed for WoW, Also you will have to wait a very long time, i just order mine on March 19, 2010 and its now April 21, 2010 as im writing this i still havnt gotten my M17x, say said it will be here on the 29th, so that over a month you will have to wait and dont buy any on of the shipping options its will still come in 3 to 5 say if you paid for the normal 7 day.

@goofydonaldsora with the card i got (which is the only one you can choose from other than the duel core) its with my configuration (the i7, 4GB of ram, blah blah blah) should be able to run at about MW2 at 30.8 frames per second so it will play good with some fuck ups, but on high it should be a little higher that 30. Crysis on High you should get around 43 to 50 Frames per second, but wont be able to play on ultra. anything above 30 FPS is going to play well anything below might suck

@goofydonaldsora WoW should be also 40s to 50s FPS but just the card alone is not going to be putting out all the power needed your processor does some work to so dont think you can get a cheaper processor and still think that the card is going to put out over 30FPS's it might but depends

@goofydonaldsora if you want to know what i order, its the 17x, Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode) (which is quad and anything below that is a duel core like the "i7 620M 2.66 GHz " or "i5 540M 2.53GHz " are duel core. and just 1GB ATI Radeon Mobility HD 4870 with some other non needed things like 500GB hard drive

blu-ray player it cam to 2700 with tax and what not, i wouldnt recomend getting anything from an outlet store just cause it would break on you or just have really shitty parts

wow that really sucks have you tried contacting Alienware about the issues?

And with a Intel extreme Processor you will never need 3.0 GHz it's a quad core CPU it will take on any game no problem.

Okay you are changing the Buss speed and you have a quad core or dual core CPU you shouldn't need it to be 3.0 GHz to run anything. Though if you want to overclock the CPU there is a "CPU multiplier selection" use that to increase your frequency.

11.5x should be enough to get it to 3.07GHz just remember it's a quad core or dual core CPU you won't need those speeds to play rainbow 6 enless you have a single core CPU

I just cranked it to 4.26GHz but I didn't want to go past the bios with it set that high.

And no I didn't have a problem with sound, I had an issue with the CPU freezing at times and then it finally fried. It came with a faulty CPU now dell is fixing it for me under warranty.
