@ TheEctomorth! Totaly different class of Bod in those days People had character with a Nik Name that was asigned to them bot what they gave themselfs as they do today note the two black women don't even look as the skin heads walk bye coz they were probably local lads and everbody was used to seeing each other coz they grew together People fear what they don't know!
Wow.............. I think my brother and sis and myself are all in this vid. Amazing , just sent it to my 78 year old Mum for verification. Still got the original 45. Love it and the ManU scarf. Go Susan ! Born and raised in Fallowfield. Currently living in Prescott AZ
Omg, some of the young people in the video [above] look proper hard cases, so they do! I don't know exactly when the video was filmed, but I would hazard a guess that it was way bak in 1969 or '70 (five years or more before Susan Cadogan's excellent reggae tune "Hurt So Good" was released). Judging by the appearances of some of those teenage mods and skins, there were just as many young 'tough nuts' and hard lads around 40 years ago as there are today!
Still a great record - and the film reminds me of when I was 18 in 1972 - mod fashion everywhere, love those days on me Lambretta . . . c'mon Wolves . . .
Excellent reggae single from 1975. The lyrics of this song are interesting ...... and, by today's standards, are certainly not 'politically correct".
The song reminds me of the old adage: "Girls don't go for nice lads, as a rule; they go for the wideboys/ bastards/rotters."
Of course, that old saying could be dismissed as a sweeping generalisation - and indeed it is. However, I can't help feeling that, to a certain extent at least, it has some truth. I will never understand women!! lol.
Is that Issac Hayes in the vid with the yellow top on plus the Skinhead/Suedehead thing was just Mod in my eyes with sharp sounds and sharp clothes beteen 1965-1970 dont yer think.
GOD--DAMM this brings back memories ***** I wonder if they are dancing to this record or it's just mix & match, either way it's fantastic and timeless.
Excellent stuff from the mid-70's - great record in the Disco's at that time - well done twinning it with this film as well - I almost expected to see myself in my checked Ben Sherman shirt, crombie and boots going into the Molineux!
OMG, I have just searched this record, as it was my wedding dance record!! and my gorgeous husband, best friend died 8 years ago....but the video is from Stevenage!! hey that is where i am, was where we were when we married and was where when Clint used to come home from work at sunblest at 2am on his tea break and make love to me on the kitchen table...love you baby, miss you always in my heart11 claire xx
I remember this from my teenage years. She had great hair - and was released on Magnet who also gave us Guyns n Dolls and Alvin Stardust. (Before she was briefly on Trojan.) She is now 58.
wondering if you can help me im looking for a song ann murray sang could i have this dance my grandad had a reggae version if you know who the singer might be could you message me,

One of the saving graces of getting older is that these days I don't have to visit the barbers for a skinhead, it just comes naturally. Top tune and great memories
I can't believe it. I was mending a PC this evening and I got it working. I put all his music back in to Itunes and as I carried on working on it, I left the music ion shuffle. I heard a song that I thought, "that's good - wonder who it is"? It was Susan Cadogon. I hadn't heard of that name since I was 10. I came straight to You tube and this was the song I remember and loved so much in 1975. It's the first time (well 15 x) i've heard it since then. It's so good to hear this magic voice/ song
