I'm guessing she is since she wrote this song...it's about Song of Songs and how Solomon's wife says "I will set you as a seal upon my heart, as a seal upon my arm." You can also take it as between you and God, but it is based from Song of Songs.
Good observation, I believe the passage you're referring to is Song of Solomon 8:6,7. Interestingly, almost the entire song seems to be taken from that passage.
Though I'm guessing that the context here, refers to a deeper relationship with Christ. Many times throughout the scriptures, the church is referred to as the bridegroom of Christ. Plus the words Misty sings, "Come be the fire inside of me," further suggest she is referring to a relationship with Christ.
Yeah, I mean you can look at it like that, but I think the intention of the book was to be about the relationship between a husband and wife. God wants us to see how we should live out our marriage and relationship, with love and purity. And Song of Songs, although very "explicit", depicts that purity. idk. You can look at it either way. I highly recommend watching Mark Driscoll's series The Peasant Princess. You can find it on YouTube. It's very very good.
IHOP does sing alot out of the Bible. Like they will take a passage and turn it into a song.. it's really neat. I have yet to see Misty Edwards in the prayer room yet though.. You should check out the IHOP prayer room, they have subscriptions as low as 5 dollars a month for just the sound, and 10 for sound and video.. I Love my subscription!

I'm guessing she is since she wrote this song...it's about Song of Songs and how Solomon's wife says "I will set you as a seal upon my heart, as a seal upon my arm." You can also take it as between you and God, but it is based from Song of Songs.

Good observation, I believe the passage you're referring to is Song of Solomon 8:6,7. Interestingly, almost the entire song seems to be taken from that passage.
Though I'm guessing that the context here, refers to a deeper relationship with Christ. Many times throughout the scriptures, the church is referred to as the bridegroom of Christ. Plus the words Misty sings, "Come be the fire inside of me," further suggest she is referring to a relationship with Christ.

Yeah, I mean you can look at it like that, but I think the intention of the book was to be about the relationship between a husband and wife. God wants us to see how we should live out our marriage and relationship, with love and purity. And Song of Songs, although very "explicit", depicts that purity. idk. You can look at it either way. I highly recommend watching Mark Driscoll's series The Peasant Princess. You can find it on YouTube. It's very very good.

IHOP does sing alot out of the Bible. Like they will take a passage and turn it into a song.. it's really neat. I have yet to see Misty Edwards in the prayer room yet though.. You should check out the IHOP prayer room, they have subscriptions as low as 5 dollars a month for just the sound, and 10 for sound and video.. I Love my subscription!

WOW! Is a great word. The worship team at Generations in Yuma Az recently started playing this song too. I can't get it out of my head. Praise the Lord for giving such beautiful songs to uplift, cleanse and refresh us. There is nothing better than feeling the Presence of the Lord.

I heard this song for the first time last night at my church. I go to Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Texas. It sounded exactly like this except, of course, it was sung by our band:)

And sometimes we don't feel it, but when we acknowledge God's presence...feelings CAN happen! I mean, you probably don't burst into tears EVERY time you acknowledge God, but it doesn't mean He isn't there. and I know you probably know that...but I just felt like I had to set things straight. That other user (cubbull whatever) was all over the place with his responses. :P Keep loving God
