hi the slp is in my opinion one of the few amps where the signal is as i would say totally unpolluted which is exactly what you would need for the blues but having said that tone is a matter of opinion .
the only thing i would say about the slp is it is monstrously loud so you need somthing to boost the signal at low volumes.
believe it or not the slp was on about .4 as i recorded this quite late but i am using a marshall guvnor 2 and a boss compression sustainer to boost the signal .

you could also get a volume mod
which is you can play at any volume and get the same tones
so you essentially don't have to crank it to get that plexi sound
would you say that the reissues are better than the vintage plexis?
