I agree. There are so many things about this that do not make sense. People complain about a normal site getting in the way of your field of view. An iPhone is heaps bigger than just about any site out there.
Great thing for gadget purposes but really struggle to see it working too well in practice.
This is silly, the human eye has a way larger EV range than a digital camera CMOS / CCD chip.
The level is nice, so are the options, but overal, this is a pretty bad idea.
Using a phone gyro is a good idea, but it'd rather not be blocking your field of view. I've say before, a phone mounted to the back of a quiver as a thrid axis adjustment tool might be cool, especially for the stand or field matches.
