Just noticed this while looking around for the Chotto Shot. Newer firmwares can be able to operate the camera without the software (i.e., record video far longer than 15 seconds). The camera was just released in Europe as "Go!Cam", and the software was made available as a download under the name "Go!Edit". A US edition has yet to surface (if so, the "Go!Cam" name will probably be used).
