@rural1 Breath control is a MIDI Control Change message type. It's not a feature or function of any DAW or sequencer program. As far as I know, Reason doesn't let you use VST plugins, so no, you can't do this in Reason.
@andriukasast I'm not sure what you mean... Arturia does waveguide physical modeling where WIVI's magic is "spectrally interpolated" wavetables. Great sound with minimal computational costs, but lacks many capabilities of PM such as overblowing, growl, and just general instrument parameterization
Does this go like this: BC (midi out) - Keyboard (midi in), Keyboard (midi out) - audio interface (midi in), and then in Cubase (midi track, midi in(inteface midi in), midi out (Wivi Brass) ?
Yamaha BC3 + MIDI Solutions Breath box. The BC3 does not output MIDI so you need a converter. There are MIDI keyboards with integrated BC input. Yamaha WX-5 outputs MIDI directly, but it's awkward to use simultaneously with a keyboard, which you will need for live polyphonic stuff.
Or actually for this one I used WX-5, but like I said it's pretty awkward with a keyboard. After making this clip I've bought a BC3 and the MIDI Solutions box and it's a much nicer combination.
@YkiF CME's keyboards have an integrated BC input--it's quite effective. CME is a chinese manufacturer of keyboards and is distributed by Yamaha to in-store retailers, though mostly CME is available only through online retailers.
@dannthr theres a menu in the bottom left on the key editor ,a drop down list box which lets you select program change I accidentally closed it how will i bring it back?
@Jed9133 Are you talking about in Cubase? Because I don't use Cubase. My comment was about the breath controller input on available keyboards. I use SONAR.
Thanks. Yes, the brass part is a live performance, so you should be able to do it on stage. I recommend using a breath controller for convincing live playing. There's a free trial version available on the Wallander Instruments website, so you can check it out and see if it fits your needs.
I recorded it with a MIDI keyboard and a breath controller, but I didn't quantize the brass section track. Why would anyone want to quantize to 1/64 in any actual non-esoteric musical context? :)
That's how Cubase works, there's always a value in that quantize box, but it doesn't mean anything until you actually use an editing function which uses the quantize box value.
Hey guy, what have you used for the funky wahwah guitar muted from the beginning of the song? that just like the one in Night Fever of Beegees!

Is it possible to use these sounds in performance mode on stage?
i have a laptop and and a external tascam sound card and work with Logic. Could you get these effects also without breath controller?
5/5!
