Hate this phone!!! The text msgs do not work right. Like if I get an animate txt msg the has movement~it does not move. This phones battery life is horrible. I am very frusterated with this phone for many reasons.

great fone battery life is good if you get the advanced task killer app which will kill all your apps and save battery. i can use phone all day and play with apps all day amd imternet and it will not need charging.

i feel that samsng fones are really laggy like how you would slide it out and you would have to wait a second for it to change positions or screens

its a good phone. there is just a few things i would like to change.

a. if i want a custom ringtone that i download for my text messages(notifications) i would like to be able to turn the sound off if i press a button not let it sit and keep playing till its done.

b. i would like to find out if there is a vibrate mode for students who are in class and cant have sound on.

i was going to get the droid at bestbuy but verizon wanted 400 dollars for a deposit, so instead i got the moment. i think it's just as good as the droid...just not as cool looking though. It works though. feels nice.

i just bought this phone and its great. for everyone that says the battery life "sucks" its because u need to download an app called "task killer". this app stops all the items running in the background whick drains your battery life. overall great phone

It's a great phone indeed. Don't know if Sprint will let you buy it at the contract price without a data plan though. The phone has Wi-Fi which you can use to access the Web.

I heard that the battery has been draining fast, but I found out a way to reduce it. If you haven't, download "Quick Settings" from Android market to manage any un used apps and lower the brightness. From end of the day my batt life is at 80%. Give it a try.

@niagrakrud2 easily... if u got around a month or less, just ask them if you can get a new phone early. if they say no, just pretend like you are about 2 cancell your account n get them 2 send u 2 the cancel service ppl. then tell them if you dont get your new phone (however many days/weeks/months) early, then you want 2 cancel your service... hell give you the phone... i do that every 2 years lol

Haha you should teach him the difference between a 528Mhz processor and an 800Mhz processor.

Not to mention the Moment has Flash for it's camera and a Proximity Sensor.... the Hero missed these basic features. Oh and Moment's AMOLED screen is far superior.

The only thing the Hero has going for it over the Moment is it's Sense UI.... but that's over-rated.

Yeah it's just a setting too. You can drag and drop that into the garbage bin. If you need to search just use the search button on the Keyboard on the top left. I took it off because it was blocking the background pic. That and it just takes up a lot of space.

I just bought this phone and so far so good. Pretty fast when surfing the net. I've been hearing a lot about the battery being to low. Well when you think about it, with a lot of applications going and the web surfing, of course the battery is going to drain out quick. Again it's fast so I just check my email and myspace or anything on the we quick and then screen save it to save the battery. It''ll last you the whole day. Keyboards kinda award but you'll get use to it.

The battery is a big concern for people, me included. So I did some research and was able to find some relief. The first major thing was to make sure bluetooth, wifi, and GPS was turned off if not in use. if you are a smartphone/android novice like me, then you can go into Android marketplace and download "quick settings" . This makes it super easy to turn these things off/on with one click.

The second, most helpful tip I found was to totally deplete your phone's battery. To the point where it will no longer stay on. Then charge it fully. I did this twice and saw a MAJOR difference in the battery life. Something about calibrating the battery so that 0%=0%. I hope this helps you guys and enjoy your kick ass phone!! ;-)

I've been experimenting with it just to see how long it can last. I am happy to say that it will last you the whole day. Like you said, just be sure to turn off all applications and screen save your phone. My concern was that I would would have to constantly charge it through out the day, but luckily I don't have to.

Do you know if they have any gears to protect it from scratches? I've been researching, but no luck.

Well You Choose if you like a full keyboard then the moment but if you want all out touch then go for the hero, i personally traded the hero for the moment because of the keyboard, the pricing is the same but you get more with the moment. but thats just me. the apps are the same and really the only difference if the keyboard, like i said earlier. These Android phones are real cool, but the fact that the OS is open source and is distributed for free that you can even load the OS on your own computer makes it pretty, umm, Linux like? The one thing I hate about Android phones is how they always have so many buttons under the screen and how you need to use them to get around, but Samsung made them into touch buttons and made them higher when compared to a Hero, who's back button is very low from the screen, which fixes my complaint.

This is such a beautiful phone. I always said I'd wait to go to Android (3.5 or bigger screen please) but it's so nice!!!!!

It also has a 24bit amoled display compared to an 18bit. and a 800mh processor compared to a 550mh on the hero. The hero is a good phone, and Sense UI is awesome, but Sense UI is a rescource hog and with a slower processor the moment will always be much faster.
