Plus, even after Lewis made this brilliant speech against censorship, PBS originally did still bleep him on the original broadcast when said "fuck it, George." So he did make PBS draw their hand and helped them to make his point.

If you're going to fight censorship, you've got to go in blazing, not stand by idly.

Dont get me wrong I love Lewis Black, but I would have in that situation just said Fuck You to whoever decided to bleep that segment of George and said I will not continue this show honoring George Carlin until you show they uncensored version. I would have stood on stage silent for an hour if I had to. Its an insult to George's memory that they bleeped him out.

Watched this on PBS last night, and couldn't stop...even though it was late and I was tired. I felt like I owed it to myself to pay my respects to the Great George Carlin.  The world is a lot worse off in his absence. May he rest in peace...although I'm sure he isn't. (IF there is an afterlife, I'm sure he's telling the unvarnished TRUTH there, too!)
