When I'm swimming in a lake I get scared of touching the ground for fear of crayfish pinching my toes =/ The water is murky and I don't know what else is under/around me...

Or in the deep end of a pool, I sometimes fear not being able to feel anything under my toes to stabilize me...that scares me if I think too much!

ditto with the phobia! I think it's pretty common though. I get really freaked out about deep ocean too, but I figured out why... it's cos I can't see my feet!! - due to the darkness of the water.. and I always start imagining what could be lurking down there.... O_O
