    Arciangelo

  • Oooohhhhhhh...Yeeeeeahhhhhh!!!

  • Aka fanfare and processional

  • hey play this at my college graduation LOL

  • MACHO MAN

  • Get out of your parents basement, tuba is not for you

  • What the hell are you doin' with your left hand....

  • @jaspervandesande he is moving a tuning valve because that note cannot be played correctly without some tuning

  • you breath too much

  • is that a 6/4 or 5/4 tuba?

  • Tubadylan, not to be one of those guys, but could you send me the sheet music for this song. i'm a beginer (one year)and i want to learn how to play this song. thanx

  • Niiice, ya ima 11th grade tubist. Marching band is coming to a close our state finals was today but gota 2. But i love playing tuba and cant wait for symphonic band season to start up in a week

  • The breathing is bad but thats the only problem

  • can somebody please kill this stupid fat fuck?

  • I absolutely hate playing this song for about 40 minutes while the whole senior class walks in.

  • Awesome! I'm a ukulele player. This is different!

  • pomp and circumcision?!?!

  • on my concert we had to play pomp and circumstance and million times for the graduates to finish

  • Played it to death in H.S., good job, more work on the breathing. If you smoke, quit.

  • freshmen in high school. first day of playing it and im sick of it already

  • nice tuba

  • being a tuba player MYSELF, i would like someone to post a video of them playing a 6/4 (correct me if im wrong) tuba and filling it up with every breath, unless you have ever played one, quit hating

  • sheet music?!?!

  • the sound for him breathing gets on my nerves

  • NOmegust su sonido y no tiene capacidad pulmonar, pruebe a tocar el bombo.

  • MUY MEDIOCRE Y MAS CAPACIDAD PULMONAR

  • how long have you been playing tube for

  • That was an awesome rendition of Sir Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1: Land of Hope and Glory, heard in graduation ceremonies throughout the United States of America and Canada, elementary and middle school promotion ceremonies throughout the United States of America, and of course the Last Night of the BBC Proms. Keep up the good work!

  • I play many various instruments and I am a musical instrument reviewer on youtube. I personally did not like it because of the buzzing with the audio, you could have made it more lively, and you were taking breaths when not needed. You should always take a huge breath before playing it helps uhh... 3.8/10

  • Why do you need vibrato on a tuba? Why do you shake your hand to produce vibrato like a string player? Just blow straight and even and produce a good sound from the diaphragm!

  • I hate this song so much every year we have to play it for our high school graduation for like 20 minutes.

  • we used to make it more interesting by randomly playing up or down an octave...it made our band director lose concentration

  • this dat classic graduation music .

  • it's a 6/4 tuba! SWEET!

  • do you happen to smoke ?

i play tuba as well and i can tell when someone smokes or not. im not totally sure but to me it looks like it.

    great playing by the way!

  • Oh god. Worst part of concert band season... Playing pomp and circumstance 32 times, with no break.

  • awesome

  • this is just me but i hate vibrato seriously,

why you play the entire thing instead of the super easy bit.

  • reminds me of walkin down the aisle

  • they played this in your supermarket too?

  • haha lolz nice one :P

  • ive played it over and over and over...

    yeah

  • Loving the vibrato. Kudos

  • Really Good. I think you just need to work on breathing in good spots to make the phrases sound even better.

  • Realy good! ;)

Just wondering.. I play the trumpet and am playing a piece called pomp and circumstance for grade 3 (yes, only grade 3. :() and it's NOT that piece. Are there different types?

  • man your a great player you do your dynamics soo well. We have to play this song at graduation and it goes on forever!

  • i think he meant to make it sound a little shaky since it is a slow song it sounds like its supposed to be sung if u will and he does a great job

  • thats beautiful

  • coooool thats pretty good i like it!

  • How much does that kind of tuba cost?

  • thousands

  • you dont need to be in a library to have books. Its called buying a shelf and books and having them in your home

  • Look, all you haters, it's hard to play the tuba. You need to take a lot of breaths to play with a full beautiful sound like this guy. So, you can complain if he took a lot of breaths if he sucked. But with his sound, I wouldn't care if he breathed after every note.

  • I wish everyone could understand that.

IT'S A BIG INSTRUMENT SO IT TAKES ALOT OF AIR!

  • All the more so on the yorkbrunner! Horns that big take a lot of effort to make music with. If you listen to his f tuba videos, you'd realize just how impressive his vital capacity and musicianship really are.

  • what the hell are you liveng it the fucking public library or somethin you piece of shit. so when you went out on job trying to play tuba you slowly turnel into some hobo on streets and you were so poor that you didnt even have a case for the people to throw the change in so they threw it in the tuba i guss because it sounds like SHIT!!!

  • hey buddy i would love to see a video of you playing the tuba. If you have nothing good to say dont say it at all

  • tone down the vibrato a little bit, kinda shaky sounding. otherwise good

  • is he in a library!?!

  • bad posture!

  • Who cares about posture when you can play that good?

  • wtf I didn't write that, it must've been one of my friends when they came over or something.

  • i agree with rhlol...you breath in the middle of phrases and it sounds really weird.

  • vibrato power!! XD

  • thankful for a fun performance.

  • don't breathe in the middle of phrases

  • fuk that tuba out the window ..

  • can u only do vibratos on tubas that have valves? cause id like to do that but i have one that has keys

  • You can do vibrato on any wind instrument. lol. Ask your director about it.

  • I think the vibrato is a littel bit too much!

  • Respiras donde no debes...

  • is this the arrangement by clare grundman?

  • I love your vibrato, man.

How do you achieve such a quick, yet controlled fluctuation in sound? I've been trying to work on mine and it hasn't been working too well.

Let me know if you can. Thanks! :)

  • dylan you gotta give me the music or just the notes plz,

  • Just look it up on the internet or on a piano part.

  • I don't think I can play brass instruments at all especially the tuba. Nor can I play woodwinds playing the recorder just wears me out. Piano is my specialty.

  • WOW your tube has a big bell!

  • Has anyone ever heard of a piece called "Ross Roy"? I can't remember who composed it, but it's a nastily long overture for band, it's like nine minutes long and we played it in addition to playing Pomp and Circumstance 1,561,564,561 times.

  • He is playing a grand sized CC Tuba, and it's harder to make long phrases on especially a large Tuba than a Trumpet. By the way, Tubadylan, the sound and vibrato is good. Do you not own a BBb? Probably didn't use it when your playing became more serious. You should try overdubbing yourself to create a quartet of Tubas. Luckily you have the small F Tuba, which sounds like a larger Euphonium(Tenor Tuba).

  • Ross Roy is composed by Jacob De Hann

  • being a tubist myself... your tone isnt too bad. wad is lacking is musicality. because you are breathing at all the wrong places my fren. least say bout the vibrato...

  • Good thing I have you to correct me.

  • @tubadylan You really shouldn't be making rude comments to the guy, he's correct. I don't think he's trying to be mean, and neither am I, but you should control your breathing. You're a big man, you can fill those lungs up with a ton of air if you give it your all, man! The vibrato took away from your performance as well, my friend. Either do a slower, wider vibrato or cut it out of the performance entirely. It will make you sound much better.

  • @tubadylan Might i ask you what kind of tuba that is? I havent seen one like that..

  • @nuttynutz As a fellow tuba, I'm with you. Tone is good, phrasing/breathing needs improvement. Does bring back memories of HS graduation though, played this for an hour and a half....

  • qual a marca desta tuba ????

  • Yup, i played this within... an hour of being made to carry the tuba about ;)

  • you're really awesome!

  • More! More! Encore!

  • I liked it. :)

At some points, it almost looked like you were trilling the note you were holding, however I didn't see the valve actually rise and I didn't hear a change. Was this a technique, or just a hand motion you made unconsciously?

  • Just an unconscious hand motion I use when playing with vibrato, although the vibrato itself comes from moving the jaw up and down. Thanks!

  • Nothing special, being a tuba player myself, i can play that without any problem

  • You're right, nothing special. Shouldn't be any problem for anyone.

  • @tubadylan its a problem for me

  • can you teach me you are so good

  • I am available for private instruction in the Los Angeles area, and am also working on a remote teaching method via the internet. Stay tuned for more info!

  • are you a conducter

  • nice playing, but where the begining lol? u kno the rolling 8th 16ths and that high B natural
