  • i like this instrument .even we maltese have something like this and is done from the skin of a small goat .by the way every country has is own traditional instruments

  • Doesn't sound like bagpipes, but then the Scots have that true bagpipe sound that no other instrument sounds anything like it.

  • good sound mais le mec est super sexy!

  • "I felt in love with you inside my mind, and in my dreams i've kissed your lips a thousand times! "

  • There are native bagpipes of every single country in Europe. as well as Asia Minor, North Africa, and Central Asia.

  • J'aimerais savoir en jouer :) Mais pas la patience...

  • What a nice french sound, thanks!

  • Merci beaucoup for sharing. Lovely piping.

  • Leave it to the French to come up with something so heavenly sounding! Thumbs up! Just awsome! Thank you for sharing.

  • Whats the name of this song? I like it! I want to learn it on my uilleann (Irish) pipes. What key are these bagpipes in?

  • good for you! ^^ I hope you enjoy this french tune played on 'musette' bagpipes then :)

  • Oh, j'adore vraiment les 18 pouces !

  • looks like there has been an argument among the comments these days. It is possible for everyone to express their opinion without being harsh and rude. Uuurk, I kinda agree with you that GHB has such a visibility that it casts a shadow on many other bagpipes very worth to listen to. Just the way to express things was maybe a little clumsy, and offending to some.

I hope you all enjoy this time of the year.

    Cheers

  • sry, i just think its fun to annoy ppl sometime:)

but my point was that its just as bad/good making fun of scots as it is of french ppl. and u dont seem to have taken away paul1060 comment..

  • very nicely played!

  • sounds soft, just like the fruity french. "if u make me mad.....if will write an angryy poem about you"

  • hi!!!fantastic sound. ive falled in love of this sound.can you say me whi is the maker and which kind of bagpipe is this...thank so much.. iam italian too and i play zampogna and gaita

  • hi :)

This is one of the kinds of french bagpipes named 'musette du centre'. This is a musette '18 pouces' (which means tuned in F) made by maker Bernard Jacquemin --> first link when you google his name (don't know if allowed to give directly link here).

Zampogna and gaita are lovely bagpipes as well. But by he way, i am french, not italian ;)

have fun with your future order! see u

  • La Scottish de Jean !!!!! Very nice tune, I learned it in G

  • It would be great to be in St Chartier and playing with you, but during the dates of Festival I am busy. There is a sort or "reicontres de musiciens" French and Italian in Sampeyere called Lou Chanto Viol, in the vallades Occitanes of Italy, for the last week-end of August 30th-31st.I planned to be there, so if you are free, why don't you come?In any case keep in countact.A bientot

  • Superbe ! un très joli son !!

  • bravo bravo bravo!! (^_^)

    C'est excellent tout ca! :D

  • well, thanks for that friendly comment!! I learned the tune from the bagpipe method from Bernard Boulanger (..in french!). The tune is on a CD from Jean Blanchard as well. I can look around for the music sheet, if you have not already learned it by ear by now ;) Cheers

  • The best sounding French bagpipe ever heard.

  • The best sounding French bagpipe I ever heard.

  • Well c'mon... is that really saying much?

  • Yep, for us pipers it is. :)

  • Excellent. Didn't know there was such a thing as a French bagpipe. Must have gotten left behind by some Scottish raider years ago.

  • thanks for your comment! :)

Well, actually, bagpipe is an old european instrument which has spread all over Europe (there are spanish bagpipes (gaita), italian bagpipes (zampogne), polish bagpipes, etc..popular instrument, not always linked to a celtic something ;)) but the playing of most of those have fainted with time. Some countries like Scotland have a strong bagpiping tradition through time (military instrument for example).

well...things to explore! Glad you enjoy the vid ;) see u

  • Bravo Mattdu68, tu joues toujours aussi bien ! Vive la 18 pouces !
