On one hand I understand they left it out, because while they suggest Sam/Jack, they never seem to confirm the relationship in canon.

And while it's shippers might have been waiting 10 years, Sam/Rodney shippers had been waiting 5, and with her coming to Atlantis had reason to hope for more too.

Though I think we can all agree that the stargate Writers are generally lacking in continued relationship devellopment. (With the exception of McKay)

@HelenWithJohn Hi Helen. Ja das ist tatsächlich was sie sagt, und in Audiokommentaren von Staffel 4 (auf der DVD vorhanden) wird es 2 mal von den Produzenten, bzw. Amanda Tapping bestätigt daß Jack ihr "boyfriend/fella" also Freund im Beziehungs-Sinne ist. Die Szene hat es zwar nie in die Serie geschafft, trotzdem würde ich es damit allerdings als Canon also offiziell ansehen. Zumal die Aussage nix damit zu tun hatte daß die Szene geschnitten wurde. :)

I would have been so mad if this was in the episode. Sam/Jack continued to get scenes thrown out there instead of the writers consistently writing good scenes for the pairing and letting the characters be together. Another scene thrown out there saying a by the way they are together is frustrating compared to what they could have written for the pairing.

...I once decided that a 'reasonably paced' marathon would take 3 weeks and gave up. Though, I've somehow managed to watch every ep at least twice (many more for favourites) and every atlantis ep once.

I think it should be from Avalon part1 (first ep of season 9), in one of Cam's flashbacks. Unfortunately there's no SJ ship in it, unless you counts Sam's "reasons" to be reassigned (i.e. being able to be with a certain general). Though, Jack and Sam do not even share screen time together in that ep, *sigh*.
