  • Fender vibrochamp XD 5 Watts all tube

    Destroys this little bugger.....

  • FENDER

    VIBRO CHAMP XD

    TUBE AMP 5WATTS

    DESTROYS THIS LITTLE „scheiße"

  • Picked a non-reverb HT-1 combo up today, I blows my Vox VT+ 40 away for out and out tone.

  • this is like aural sex...its bliss to my ears...i will buy this amp and since my 412 cab is a 8ohm cab, i can use it as my head... effin' right doggy ; )....this amp is beast....im buying for sure

  • will this work with distortion/effect pedals?

  • @callumazoo11 No, it'll explode like 4 and a half sticks of dynamite in a fireworks factory.

  • Great review, and a phenomenol amp. A telecaster would have been sweet. Jesus, fUkin les pauls. . just a barrage to mid-tone boringness.

  • this one is on my low watt hit list my great uncle has been building people 1 - 10 watt amps for thirty years finaly the manufacture realize nobody wants a half stack in the living room

  • can this 1W tube combo beat my peavey vypyr 15W lol ? probably

  • Please Retry with Fender stratcaster

  • Hi !

Could you tell me please, if the ECC82 or ECC83 tube is in the preamp ?

    Thx !

  • @soaring138 ECC82

  • @soaring138 82 as preamp and 83 as power amp.

  • I Wanted to buy this amplyfier. Can i bosst it with any pedals?

  • I feel motion sickness coming on, lol

  • 1W rms from 25W consumption? What is the justification? for a 15W, 50W of consumption is understandable (class AB), but 25W consumption for 1W?

  • @tsirosgoddammit the circuit must be operating in Class A, wich means the amount of energy from your supply to be converted to audio will never be really over 50% (usually, 35% is considerated high-performance in Class A circuits) .

You should also remember that this is a tube amp, and the comsumption might be considering the tube's heaters, that draw high currents, not only the high-voltage supply. So you might be using around 5 to 10w for the high voltage, and the rest is for the heaters.

  • hello, Blackstar!...

I have just purchased the HT1 R combo, really great little amplifier, I am very happy with it , thank you!...

I have a question : in the video preview it's been presented having the extension sockets for 8 ohms cabinets - mine came having written on it that it's impedance is between 4 - 16 ohms !.... that's means that I should have no headaches which cabinet I would use for the extension sockets?...!... :)

    Claudiu - Aeternum

  • @klauswhitedreamer Yes, the HT1's can run ext cabs from 4- 16 ohms ( in fact the 8 ohms versions can too, they just reprinted the back panel)

  • @NevadaMusicUK ... thank you very much, I am very happy to hear this!... all the best to you!.... :)

  • good demo however the camera work makes me feel a little sick but very clear all the same

  • Sounds djenty!

  • Perfect demo, you kick ass mister! Nice mini amp!!!

  • is this amp loud enough to play like together with an acoustic guitar, without braking up too much ? (i play a strat and want to keep it clean)

    thanks

  • Keeps up with my drummer. louder thru 8 ohm 4x12 than 16 ohm 4x12. 1 watt 8 ohm 1/2 watt 16 ohm maybe 2 watts at 4 ohm.

  • Got mine two days ago(HT 1 HR) Jammed with my drummer last night. In fact is loud enough to keep up w/ him. I usually need MUCH more power to do this. It's louder with an 8ohm 4x12 GK 75 watt celestions than with a 16 ohm marshall 4x12 black back celestions I think 25 or 30 watts. I tilted back the cab & parked it behind and off to the side of him. Sounded great. Prob. around 1 watt 8 ohm, 1/2 watt 16 ohm, possibly more at 4 ohm....didnt try that yet. It even sounds good thru a peaveybluemarvel

  • @amberience hm, interesting. But it really does sound like an all valve amp, don´t you think? Whatcha recommend for a low wattage, high gain amp instead?

  • @bond260295 Personally I'd recommend the Orange Dual Terror.

  • @amberience that would blow my house xD ... i was searching for an all tube low wattage high gain bedroom amp and the HT-1 looked very good until u ruined my plans xD ;D

  • consider a fender blues junior iii with a high gain pedal. i use one at home and sounds awesome

  • The HT-1 is not all valve.

  • @amberience i belive u r wrong...it is say on Blackstars web site

  • @88segovia Nope.

  • @amberience Where did you see this? The people have said that ecc83 and ecc82 are normally preamp tubes but in this case the ecc82 is a Power tube....

  • Could you tell me if I can have a jamalong by pluging in a mp3 player into a "HT-5HR". Thanks , Jerry - AKA - hutchfromba.

  • @hutchfromba Yes you can

  • so what do u think.. should i get this.. or the blackstar ht - drive pedal for my crappy ibanez 30 watt amp????

  • how does it handle the metal?

  • Thank you so much for your reply! Now I can turn the volume to 11:-)

  • The HT1 is specified with a nominal load impedance of 8 ohms but due to it’s lower output power and impedance, will work quite happily and perfectly safely into 16 or 4 with very little change in tone or vol.

  • when does this amp go on sale in usa?

also what type of reverb is it? is it spring, also is it real tank or digital?

can it do hall reverb or room?

  • How would you describe the distortion coming out from the amp?

It sounds to me more like fuzzy than overdriven?

    wold you agree?

  • Thank you for the reply:-)

  • I recently bought a Blackstar ht-1r amp together with a blackstar 1x12 cab.I noticed that the ohms on my amp is set at 8,while on the cabinet, its set at 16ohms. Would this be a problem? I noticed at the beginning of this video, you said that i can plug the amp. to either a 1x12,2x12 or even a 4x12. Can you please enlighten my mind on this? Cool demo BTW...Thanks!:-)

  • @johntreen101 Ok the spec's say 8 ohms but the teccy guys at Blackstar tell us it will work just fine with 4 or 16 ohms so plug away !!

  • @johntreen101 The HT1 is specified with a nominal load impedance of 8 ohms but due to it’s lower output power and impedance, will work quite happily and perfectly safely into 16 or 4 with very little change in tone or vol.

  • Look with that kind of stuff he's playing everything is gonna sound good. For me how good an amp is is shown by how well it can capture a single note. Although i admit i like the just-abit-overdriven-sound of it. But propably only that one

  • @29396 Welcome to the world of quality amps...

  • Anyone know how this sounds with EMGs, got 81 and 60

  • I gt this Ht1 w/o the reverb combo...I plugged it into HTV 112...i have my ts9dx turned on in between...however I find that the distortion from this amp sounds way too sharp even w/o the ts9....there is no loop..no other eq...run out of options...does changing the tube help?

  • @xuan8839 Since the amp doesnt really have EQ controls, you might perhaps want to try an Equaliser pedal first, before you worry about changing tubes...?

  • @RoarytheGuit88 I want my distortion to be adjusted by EQs and sad things is there is no loop in the amp..buying a EQ dun really help out alot...plus I gt a 10 band eq pedal myself already...i know how much it can acutally do...i guess maybe i need to change the speaker or cab or something to have more bass and fuller sound..OR...if changin tubes wld help..

  • Does this amp need biasing when changing power tubes?

  • so could i plug this into a 1 x 12 blackstar cab (htv 112) ??????

  • @liquidoscar Yes! no problems

  • .....GREAT !!!!

  • Why didnt they make the HT5 switchable to 2.5 watts? would that not have been a viable proposition? Dont get me wrong the HT5 is absolutely fantastic but sometimes in the late evening i would like a fuller gain sound at lower volume so my neighbour doesn't moan.

  • @vainparasite hey, from my experience, amps with a variable power output/switchable down dont necessarily sound like they're half the wattage. Examples from my personal experience are the Vox Night Train (powers down from 15w to 7.5w), a Fender Blues Deluxe clone (15 or 5w) and a Fender 5e3 clone (switchable from 5w to 2.5w). Powering down all of these amps meant slightly less volume, but the real difference was overall less dynamics and brightness. Thats about it. 5w or 2.5w still = loud amp

  • did he say one watt??

  • @LetArtsLive I DID !!! This amps kick ass all that tone from such a tiny box.

  • which has more gain ht-1 or ht-5?

  • @lokistears123 i believe they both have the same amount, but the ht5 has more headroom so you will get a bigger sound.

  • If the channels were foot switchable and they had squeezed a 10" driver in to it it would be the PERFECT bedroom tube amp.

Still the best low watt tube amp by far though, well done Blackstar yhink you're gonna make a lot of bedroom rockers very happy bunnies.

When is it on sale, i'll be getting one for sure.

My guitar has EMG 60/81's will that ruin the cleans by giving the channel to much drive??

  • @bignickm99 I think this is a Fantastic Studio amp as well as a Bedroom amp with out a doubt the best amp for a Studio under 1000 Dollars

as For the EMG's surprisingly not the Cleans still sound decent enough with EMG's and if you EQ the amp just right you can get a Pretty nice tone

  • what tube dose it have in it ??

  • @col33145 ecc82 and ecc83

  • Wow. Sounds incredible to be that tiny. Good stuff.

  • This little amp sounds amazing for it's size and I can't believe it's only 1 watt!

  • great amp

  • Looks like a great little bedroom recording amp!

  • 1st!
