  • Where and when did Mtv go wrong? These were great shows.

  • Swoon.

  • pr MD:

"A beauty impossible to define A beauty impossible to believe"

"No God up in the sky No devil beneath the sea Could do the job that you did, baby Of bringing me to my knees"

  • Can't stop listening to this, incredible!!

  • Does anyone else think Father Ted... LOSE THE SAX!

  • @kez1979 No Sax here - the violin maybe?

Awesome version - that run of albums in the late 90s is just incredible - Murder Ballads, Boatman's Call and into the new millennium with And No More Shall We Part...brilliant!

  • @hendrixius

Blixa hates the saxophone...no way he would have allowed it.

  • @kez1979

There is no sax, and I doubt Blixa would have allowed it as he hates the instrument.

  • @kez1979 Sounds less like a sax and more like a string instrument to me: maybe with some distortion added?

  • @BilisNegra seriously.

  • Can anyone imagine this show on present-day MTV?

  • Thanks for sharing this clip. When I went to see "the boatman's call" tour, this was one song which was not performed. And yet it is the standout on the album.

  • BEARDLESS WARREN ELLIS!

  • Notice, he's got the keyboard on his lap for this xD its so wobbley

  • Just beautiful.

  • The greatest song ever made.

  • my favourite Pagan Church

  • I love this song a LOT. But Nick doesn't play Idiot Prayer. Why?

  • A song of redemption to me.

  • this is one of my favourite songs on The Boatman's Call. so much so that it doesn't play cleanly anymore. Honest! Thank god I put it on my MP3.

    Nice live version.

  • wow this song really comes to life here. i haven't really enjoyed this on the album, but warren ellis makes everything fantastic. i wish the violin had been on the studio version

  • one of the best

  • Thanks for posting this video.

  • Nice

  • biblico, poetico, musica!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Under80 ...meraviglioso!!!!!!

  • Even though this kills me everytime I hear it, thankyou.

  • @ysfaljanabi No, it's just another way of saying that this song resonates to some deeply heart-felt emotion, probably concerning something unresolved. Such a statement is also indicative of a great deal of imagination on the part of the one who expresses it. That's simply human, nothing else. The fact that you need to degrade this sentiment is your problem alone, and no one elses, really.

  • @Otholar agree 100%

  • thanks mate!

  • thank you so much for uploading this video!!! :)
