Xena was amazing. she was beautiful yet stronger than any man, or g0d. She wasnt some twiggy super model, with ninja skills like that stupid "alias" show or something. There should be more shows like Xena on tv. So girls have someone like HER to look up to, instead of wanting to grow up and be a pussycat doll.

I get really upset when actors/celebrities die. I recently found out that Glenn Quinn ("Mark" in Roseanne and "Doyle" in Angel) died of an accidental heroin overdose. I had a HUGE crush on him and I couldn't sleep all night. =/ Apparently no one was really aware of his drug use, quite recent in his career, it was.

Ares told Xena that he loved her, but as we all know Xena was pretty much in love with Gabrielle and didn't exactly return his affections. However, Ares did give up his immortality to save Gabrielle and Eve at the end of season 5 and to show Xena he really did love her. (Xena helped him become a god again in season 6.)

Anyway, I think it kind of ended the way it always had been- with Ares trying to win Xena over, but with Xena always turning him down in the end. Poor Ares; can't blame him for trying, though!

The show had a lot of what's called "lesbian subtext" which always hinted at a romantic relationship but never outright stated that Xena and Gabrielle were together. I think the writers made it pretty clear that Gabrielle and Xena were soulmates. Of course, this is open to interpretation.
