to add new items navigate to file extension (.html) create new key named ShellNew and inside create string value called NullFile. Does not seem to work for all extensions but some such as bat css and html
found it. Apprently after it made a new one after i put the "___" after shellnew. there were two there so i put 000 after the new one becuase they cant have the same name.
Hi Rich. I tried this in Vista and it works on here also. I have a question. How would you add something to that list through regedit that I have already on my computer but it's not in the list?
@capman911 There isn't a straightforward way of doing that since different programs create different files in their own way - not to mention that the file extension you want to add to the 'new' menu must be registered in the registry, etc. However if I find a way to do it that doesn't involve 1,000,000 steps, I'll post a vid on it. :)
@capman911 Actually I'm the guy who makes the vids for this channel, so you'd find it here. On my channel is nothing but music stuff mostly and not tech. :)
