  • No offense mate, I am immune to the praise (and the criticism) of men. I dont want to get into a sectarian argument. But I will say this. When I was in the gutter, probably seconds away from death (after using poisoned drug), and I realised my future was "uncertain" (LOL), it was Jesus who reached down to where I was at, showed me he cares and that he loves me, and it was His Blood that paid for my freedom. Jesus said Love God and your neighbor. He also said be born again, and resist satan.

  • @goldsmithexile Wow! awesome testimony brother! Would love to hear more of your story. Are you a salvationist?

  • @wordsworth727

No Sir, but I would say that "send the fire" means more to me than our national anthem!! Also the blood and fire passion, stand up, stand up for Jesus you soldiers of the cross....Booth had it right, dont get caught up in church politics, get out onto the street with the gospel.

  • Thank God for the Salvos

  • The Salvation Army originally were the people who brought spiritual (primarily) and also material help to those souls who had gotten messed up, exploited with drink and other social ills. You get criminals any way, its fatuous and lazy to blame religion for that. Its the sorry lot of fallen human nature. Sin is a crime against God. His law shows us the proper way to live so as not to get messed up with drugs/drink/pornography/occultism/violence etc. He shows us a better and higher way...

  • @goldsmithexile What does God's law about holding and keeping slaves help us do? And the part about killing unruly children and gays, how's that help?

  • @BeauJames59 as a gay man in a loving relationship I will tell you this. God saves!

  • @goldsmithexile Nothing personal, it's just I get tired of people throwing out all these generalizations about the Bible and ignoring the evil parts....

  • these are the people who brought us prohibition, which brought us organized crime, hit men, bootleggers - think of how many people died as a result of their religious views

  • @KHooves Death is not a result of religious people; death is a result of sin (breaking God's Law, the 10 commandments).

  • How sad now the Salvation Army has forgoten about that sign on the front of the building, "Save Your Soul" and had become a place that sells used forniture. what ever happened to Mr. Booth's dream and reasonable service?

  • @Serglish All the great revivals ended up the same way.

  • @Serglish Well the sale of sed furniture helps raise money for various programs whilst various Salvation Army Corps tend to the spritual needs of the people.

  • Anyone know the name of that march that starts at :30? Sounds like a real lip-killer.
