This is so not funny. If you've ever loved someone addicted to this you would be offended too. For those that say nobody forced them to do it you are right but I can tell you it starts off usually when a person is young & they think it's no big deal, they don't realize what they are messing with, just partying then bang they are addicted. They end up not just doing it with friends they need to do it to keep from being ill so they do it alone & they're not partying anymore & life becomes hell...

Telling a person you are proud of them matters to that person (at least in my experience) because they have no feeling of self worth, when they are using they feel nothing & when in throws of withdrawal all they feel is sick & concentrating on getting more. When they get clean hearing those words helps a lot & so do hugs. I wish her all the best.

@uralusr I see where you're coming from, but I agree with him. If drugs were legal, taxes would drop a bit, and government spending would decrease. To prevent people who choose NOT to do drugs from being subjected to that element in public, have the privately owned institutions make their own rules.
And even further, my bet is that if drugs were legal, the drug-usage would greatly decrease, because a lot of teenagers are the ones who choose to do drugs in rebellion to their parents.
Finallya sensible voice, although we disagree, i beleive young adolescents try drugs as a form of coping from a non-srtuctured or sometimes abusive family, . By legalizing Marijuana which happens to be 24% thc rather than 2% in the 60-70-'s thats a 2400% increase. This is so not funny. If you've ever loved someone addicted to this you would be offended too. For those that say nobody forced them to do it you are right but I can tell you it starts off usually when a person is young & they think it's no big deal, they don't realize what they are messing with, just partying then bang they are addicted. They end up not just doing it with friends they need to do it to keep from being ill so they do it alone & they're not partying anymore & life becomes hell...

My new roommate--she was a friend up the block--her and her boyfriend were on it together (I'd see 'em walk down the road & think, "what're they, drunk?") and are off it, both, now.
Newly so--when they moved in in December, she was nodding so badly, SO THIN, crying, panicking always...

@LitLBirdLitLBiid. I was vague when I said loved ones & I apologize for that friends absolutely matter too. Glad to hear she is getting herself well. Telling a person you are proud of them matters to that person (at least in my experience) because they have no feeling of self worth, when they are using they feel nothing & when in throws of withdrawal all they feel is sick & concentrating on getting more. When they get clean hearing those words helps a lot & so do hugs. I wish her all the best.

@uralusr I see where you're coming from, but I agree with him. If drugs were legal, taxes would drop a bit, and government spending would decrease. To prevent people who choose NOT to do drugs from being subjected to that element in public, have the privately owned institutions make their own rules.
And even further, my bet is that if drugs were legal, the drug-usage would greatly decrease, because a lot of teenagers are the ones who choose to do drugs in rebellion to their parents.

By legalizing Marijuana which happens to be 24% thc rather than 2% in the 60-70-'s thats a 2400% increase.
