This song takes me back to a long hot summer in 1981.

It was an excellent record and one of the best records of the decade. I liked Imagination, they had several good records in the early 1980s, albeit using the same production style and sound. Although "Just an Illusion" was their biggest selling single, I thought that Body Talk was actually their best record. I also preferred Music and Lights and In the Heat of the Night to Illusion, whch was a good track.

I think you might be referring to 'Nightdubbing' which as it's title suggests feature dub/remixed (and largely vocals-less) versions of Imagination hits. It's since been released on CD some years back. Excellent stuff!

I was only 8 years old when this song was a hit, but 20 years later.....it's still is a very good song....i love it! And all that crap about them being gay or not.....who cares? Actually, Imagination already existed in the late 1970s (1978/79) but their first real album was issued in 1981...

N.B. : none of Imagination member were gay ! It was just the eighties... just watch some 1980s videos from Bar-Kays,Cameo or Instant Funk and you'll see !

As for Imagination albums:

Well...there, on the contrary, it was different for Village People : some were gay for real, some were not; for the producers who shepherded that "made-up" group wanted 'em all to act gay...so they had to do it! Ironically,one of the 2 producers (both French)involved in the creation of the group -Jacques Morali- was really gay and he contracted HIV during the mid-eighties(around 1985...); he died from AIDS in 1991. N.B. :however, Imagination is in NO WAY comparable to these fags!

Well; ... actually, I've never considered that particular one (="Night Dubbing") as a real album ! I think it's damn boring and have never bought it ! When it came out (early 1983); there were just the same songs from their 2 first real albums (thus : from 1981 & 1982) re-mixed,dubbed...everything is "too much" in that one...that's why I've never owned it ...besides that, I got all the others (except 1991's "Fascination Of The Physical" the last one; which I got once but got rid of
