  • whats the name of this video????

  • Hey.. You know what.. Im really learning Film Business here.. Thanks! I hope i could make a Indie Film In the Near fute ^_^

  • These videos are so good. I hope you do/did well.

  • i would like to hear about your biz plan! what is the budget for the movie?

  • I didn't realized you left me a message. Hit me up on my cifguy@gmail and we can swap ideas there!

  • Just a guy in a lil' square...LOL.

    Good title. :D

  • lolol i dont mind a meeting with you, some coffe, donuts, bagels,

  • I was an engineer/manager in industry for years. Then about a year ago I QUIT my day job to pursue indie film making. I'm slowly working my way into it. Enjoying watching your story unfold. Definitely rooting for you.

  • Hey Confessions Dude! Hangin' on the edge of my seat here! You keep going!!! I wonder if anyone would want to watch my confessions as I start up my Adult Novelty business??? Hey ya never know!! Post soon!!

  • I am a lecturer in Australia teaching digital video, I have to tell you I have approximately a hundred students loving your work including some old guy pretending to be young by teaching film(me...ohh wait :( i'm old). We talk about your vids in and out of class. This video is sooo addictive!! You should do more of these especially when you movie gets picked up, imagine the viral marketing buzz these videos would generate! Also submitted your video to digg (hope it helps spread the word)

  • Thanks, mmarscomau!!! I'm glad your class is enjoying them! My motive is to put the spotlight on the true grit of making a movie from scratch. All the goofy stuff happens cuz I've made YOUTUBE my therapist. And just to let you in on a secret...another "confession" is coming this weekend for sure! Shhhhh.

  • After long any get any new good channel .....keep it up

    5/5

  • yes...I think I got some good news.

  • Wow I love your editing style. Tanlent, mabey :O

  • Thanks AA! Let's hope that it helps the movie!

  • Great vids! My favorite one was when you taught everyone how to use imovie! VERY VERY clever.

  • Whah? iMovie? WHen did this happen?

  • Hey, I like your videos, never stop making them... you should watch some of mine. :) lol

  • Hey what's up mate, I have watched all your videos and there amazing! Your directing and editing for these youtube videos are AMAZING. Your so funny to! A holiday film is a good choice to have for a film!. Good luck mate!

  • Thanks so much! Let's home that the "industry" also think it's a good time for a fresh, new, original holiday movie!

  • hey this is the first time i've commented on your videos... however i HAVE been watching them since the day I saw your intro video featured on youtube...

i look up to you dude!!! YOU'RE FILIPINO!!!! LIKE ME!!! Your vids are seriously entertaining(im sure others have said this) and i look forward to any future vids you're going to upload soon!

haha im just 15 and im into filmmaking myself. i live in carson actually! (Carson has a lot of filipinos...) Well dude...I wish you the best!

  • Thanks, man! Spread the message unto the peoples! I've been to Carson. It's like a little smurf village there. (Smurfs....grrrr.)

  • hey my name is daniel porto and i come from australia. i think i remember you saying you went to to UCLA? anyway if you did I was wondering what your opinions of it are? is it worth it? i was thinking of moving into america next time but im not sure if i should go to film school or not? should i go just to meet some people? or should i not go to film school and if i didn't, what would you recommend to try and get into the industry(very slowly im guessing lol)

thanks for your help and GOOD LUCK!

  • Here is what I would do. Forget film school. Save that money to make an independent movie. Get a degree in business. Then work at the film school equipment center and/or help with student films so you make friends. Spend the money you saved for a killer short film. Earn it back by getting a practical job. And rely on the free labor from all your awesome friends in film school!!! Voila'!!!! Good luck!

  • Still at it...BRILLIANT...just dont get discourage - you're already a success!!! Wish I thought of it first...haha

Looking forward to you next post...can't wait to see what happens - GOOD LUCK!

  • I can't wait to see what happens too. I still don't have a clue!!!!

  • To be honest, I think you shouldn't have posted publicly about the meeting, as you'll have every faker and liar within a...well, the Internet's infinite radius...sending you fake messages about being with this corporation or that studio..who really aren't. You really should've kept this to yourself, I think.

  • You make a good point tkeely4777. I guess we'll have to see how many of these folks are ligit. But I will gladly take 10 fakes if it leads me to 1 real contact! Most of the face-to-face interaction in the industry is like this too. Everyone is feelin' the other guy out to find out how serious they are. How deep does the rabbit hole go? Who knows? At least we'll see how this one goes though...at least I'll see and I'll take you all with me!

  • Love your video's dude, you make me laugh! ;) Your sense of humor is great and persistence encouraging, keep up the good work! ;)

  • Thanks, man. Those friggin' vids make me laugh too. Let's see how long my persistence lasts!

  • im the brother of richie rich 0_o no really i am

  • Hello, little brother-dude. Let's see if your big bro-ski's got the chops to get this project off the ground!

  • Well done

  • The Amazing Adventures of " Hype Man " , our new hero... next production of " the guy of the confessions " ...

Damn my flash is not working... picture picture...

  • LOVE IT, DUDE! If I'm Hype-Man...then my arch nemises must be THE BIG BIZ or some kind of mundane personification of the "studio machine", complete with tights!

  • This is awesome man, every time i see you've got a new vid in my subscriptions box its the first thing i'll click on. Like i said, you've got drive and passion that myself, like many, surely do envy. Good luck, i know you'll do good. : )

  • hey you know i am alwasy down!!! Got equipment to full hd camera and animations studio setups aswell. And you should post a video response of 1 on 2, 2 on 3 ........... you get the point to it is easier for the views to go from video to video

  • Alright I got an idea....Lets torch ourselves on fire and start running after the studio execs until they say yes.

  • (laugh) Hmmmm. Not bad. Dang...I probably should of considered that ten years ago! Thanks for the martyr-esque enthusiasm!!!!

  • Actually I'm with Bob Allen.

  • (Chanting) NEW VIDEO ! NEW VIDEO ! NEW VIDEO! NEW VIDEO!

  • It's comin', notimeformyspace. I gotta work the biz a little first so I have something to report! But I have a feeling it may be pretty good!!!

  • Dude, let's do this as a community effort. Subscribe to my channel and I'll come up with a schedule and the kind of money I can pay people for the work. I'll email the proposal to the subscribers, so join up and let's do something major.

  • What can I say? I've gained inspiration from your talent and energy for 10 years. These "confessions" are no different. Your God-given talent is amazing. BTW, check your email. :)

  • eleven years, sambradley....eleven. (smile)

  • hmmmmm...or is it 'two cents' ? oh well, they only give me a penny for my thoughts so either way i lose!

  • Still great cents. Thanks!

  • ohhhhh man ...did he say a 'holiday' film . i now realize why so many people passed on it...i mean it may be a great film BUT it being a holiday film, makes it seasonal, which makes it less likely to make money year round. Thus studios may pass for a more marketable alternative. just my two sense.

  • you speak truth. but here is a twist! a "holiday" movie may not make as much money year round, but it will over the long run! For example, a "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "The Grinch" play every friggin' year. It becomes an "evergreen". But studios aren't interested in long-lasting material. They want the instant hit. That's how they keep their job! Hit after hit. Not classic after classic. As for us...the consumers...we want something we can watch again...year after year...a classic.

  • YEAY A HOLIDAY MOVIE!!!

hope we get to see it someday ^_^

    best of luck <3

  • dude i think you should also take up acting, best of luck with your project man, I'm sure you'd make it!!

  • Hey man, I'm From Brazil, Sao Paulo to be exact. And if I had any chance to see your movie I would't miss it. Perhaps what you're doing is just the beggining of a new creative force from independent filmmakers from all over the world who are trying to do something. I work here in the movie industry myself, and it just seems to me that you're as far away from getting your film done as I am. And you live in the same city where the magic happens. Don't play by their rules. Make them play by yours!

  • Stirring words, apascholoalini! Thank you very much. I am inspired. Makes me wanna pick up a flag or something and tear my shirt!

  • Hey good luck man! I commented on your first vid post and I hope everything works out for you! you're kind of an inspiration to other aspiring film makers out there

  • Thanks boondoc! Dang...throw a lil' of that inspiration my way. I need some myself!

  • Hope i got to see the movie some day :)

  • Hey man!!! I am planning on going to film school in 2009. I love you videos, they really have encouraged me to keep goin on with my dreams of becoming a film producer, editor, and or director.. lol I know its stupid to say it, but if you need any help or anything it would be greatly appreciated if i could help.. so i can get an idea of what goes into the film process before i make the biggest decision of my life.. I do have a little experience and would love to just see how it all works.. Thanks

  • Not stupid to ask. For your sake, don't think that your decision now is a "make or break" deal for your future. You can always return back to movies even if you don't go to film school. The only wrong decision people make is if they neglect what they love. Film school means nothing. It's what one does after film school. The best film school is experience. I would tell anyone to save their film school money and spend it on making a movie. Go to school for something practical for 9to5 job.

  • Hey great stuff dude. I just found your videos last week and watched them all in one night. Then went out of town for a while and was thrilled to see this new one tonight!

I wish I could help, but I am not sure what I could help with. Music, voice overs, odd jobs... I can do some editing. LoL.

Anyway, if you need some help I am more than willing. I have always wanted to get into this business, just never knew how.

In any case, best of luck dude!

  • I'm reading comments from sooooo many people that want to help out here. I'm telling you, the grass roots thing is totally going to work. We need to set up a web site and start handing out assignments. If you can get your assignment turned in, YOU'RE IN THE MOVIE! First assignment is to film yourself in front of a green sheet so we can greenscreen in a cool background. Who wants in?

  • you are going to make this movie and im going to be happy i commented here cause your amazing and i would love to see your movie you were smart for posting this stuff on youtube.

  • That's some crazy doing a...doing a..it's a prank...It's a PRAAAANNNKKK!

    Sorry dude...this time it's the Coca-Cola.

Man, I hope your project isn't like that Adam Sandler gross-out movie. And since you mentioned holiday movie...I suddenly got this compulsion to find those old stop-motion Rankin Bass xmas cartoons here on Youtube.

So far what I learned from you is: IDEA + YOUTUBE = EXPONENTIAL GROWTH (BUZZ). Cool!

  • Uh, in my last comment, I don't mean that I hate Sandler, juts some of his movies. Anyway, good luck to you dude!

  • Hey thanks for the comment bro. Yeah you're absoloutely right. With our forces we can rule the world. You're like that Elite soldier at the tip of the spear. We're the grunts behind pushing the gilded gates of Hollywood down so the next wave of future film makers can get in. In the spirit of Lucas, Copolla, Spieldberg who always worked together to make magic. If you need us just drop a line and Chop Suey Entertainment will hold it down for you. Peace

  • wow good movie i love it make some more my Daddy loves it,

  • okay

  • Man, you are great. I'm Italian and we have the same shit in my country, if you want to make a movie you have to eat tons of it. I studied to be a director and reach something in this business is almost impossible. I sign up on youtube only to said good luck to you. Keep going and be sure, I will go to see your movie, like all my friends will, even if will take years. You are the living proof that if you want something you need patience and perseverance. Like we said in Italy: In bocca al lupo!

  • Wow! You're words were very kind and inspiring to myself! I'm so excited to hear that my embarrassing (and amusing) confessions reached Italy! But more important...it reached your fighting spirit. Manteniamo il combattimento!

    Grazie molto!

  • Hi Celebrity!

  • (smile) Don't feel like a celebrity with all the doors that have been shut on my face, but I'll take the "props". Thanks!

  • Thanks, 34. I gotta keep it fresh and surprise even myself sometimes. I'm still trippin..."What did I just do?!?"

  • nicccccccceee!!!!

  • good luck, man...

I hope to see your movie if it gets in the works. :D

Although, your skills with skits and as such...

You can maybe first make yourself famous by being a comedian/actor/host and then push for a film! But anyways, with the way things go, keep on what you're doing.

    The best of luck...

  • LOL. Yeah...I guess my show could be called "Just a Guy in a Lil' Square"!

  • just take the meeting, if that doesn't work, use your "You Tube" hype to make your own film crew and have them make your movie for free. just find a way to pay them if it is successfully distributed.

    kinda like the stock market.

  • Great idea. Another commenter made the same suggestion. Interesting thought. In response, there is already discussion (with our group) about another project being 100% grass roots! As for this one...we're going to keep moving forward according to plan before resorting to the "grass-roots" funding. GREAT IDEA!

  • gogogogogoo!! doo it!! your just doin this for drama purposes rite? you kno, like a soap sitcom or somthing? eh? eh?

if i was rich, i'd give you money rite now, but i'm not, srry.

  • No. Not for drama purposes. I am TRULY making a movie. I've had other commenters ask me straight up if I was an advertising firm or some sort of studio ploy to build hype for something else. I assure you...I am the real deal and after observing the "ups and downs" of previous development deals, I keep telling myself, "OTHER PEOPLE HAVE TO HEAR THIS DRAMA BECAUSE IT'S FRIGGIN' HARD TO MAKE A MOVIE!" Thanks for the willingness to throw in money! (smile)

  • have you tried just selling the script?

  • Yes. It has already been optioned and I've received offers to sell the idea for cell phone and/or ipod media. I turned those offers down because concurrently I would receive interest by management groups and production companies that would want to make this movie! If this script never got interest, I would sell the idea and move on. But the more interest this gets, the more I am convinced this HAS to be made and not simply sold and shelved. Great thought.

  • OMG are you crazy take the meeting. There are at least 8 different avenues ie: Veoh TV where you can go an only watch the most watched vids on youtube and other broadcast yourself networks. Honestly, would you take the chance on someone who can actually make this happen and snub them???

  • My sentiments exactly -- OF COURSE I'LL TAKE THE MEETING! I totally jumped at the chance and now we're gonna see what happens! You are right. Perhaps I need to check out these other broadcast networks. What are they?

  • Confessions dude....Use the hype, c-dude, use the hype....

  • Ah ahahahaha!

You're in the boat I was in dude. I got on TV, radio, and newsprint for my adventure, and I got a TON of exposure... but it didn't translate to anything. Youtube is the same way. Hey, if you figure out how to turn youtube exposure into something valuable, let me know. Cause I received a ton of regular exposure and... nada.

  • Wow. Not sure if I should feel encouraged. (Of course, I say that with a dry tone, heh-heh). Why, this blasted town is pretty callous. But I guess this is how I am masocist myself! (like the plug to your page?) I keep throwing myself in there and I can't help it! Awesome vids, dude. YOUR stuff is quality youtube entertainment.

  • That could very well be part of the plan. One of the reasons I'm still negotiating with the animation company is to work out animation samples as part of our development deal. Then, these things could be revealed in a tactful way (whether on YT or something else). Every move is like a chess game. We have to project what may happen ten moves down the road. But you are right, indeed!

  • Hey Dude!

    Do you have a podcast?

  • No. Should I consider it? And if so...what kind of info would you be looking on there that's different from here?

  • Bro...this is major! Congrats man, you got your hype back and now its time to try to kick that up to the next level. The Chop Suey Entertainment family is behind you!

  • (smile) Alright! With our forces combined, we can rule the world!

  • Seems like you are making progress, good luck! :)

  • a 1.52 cms tall producer is big ?

but you need is an Executive producer...

still your videos are amusing, and Is your product, I know I know :P.

    Charlie X

  • Yeah, an executive producer is who we're trying to bag next. This project was optioned by an EP before...but other things became their priority. It's tough to find that right EP who sink their teeth into something and not let go. I already have my wish list so once I draft out the business infrastructure...I'm gonna start knockin' on doors! Thanks!

  • Hahaha You always crack me up. I'm rooting for ya.

  • i KNEW you were getting youtube hype!!! haha sweet! i mean, believe it or not, youtube, or whatever the next big internet media sharing thing will be, will replace television and media advertising as the number 1 source for exposure and idea sharing... if the net stays neutral, that is. i digress! i'm super amped for you, man! you are already recognizable because of ytube. now just put your name in your vids or something somehow so your name can be household too! rock on! you inspire us all!

  • good freaking luck bro.

  • a holiday movie.... i will pay to see that!!! tell me when its done, better yet, tell us all. dont end your v-logs because you know have your chance to make the movie, bring us along with you on your trip to fame, stardom, making the movie, and the difficulties you encounter along the way. Now THAT will get people exited!!!!!! youll be RICH and FAMOUS, as i hope you to be, good luck!!!

  • Totally agree!!!! BRILLIANT VID AND BEST WISHES ON YOUR "MEETING... BETTER YET... MEETINGS!!!" We're so excited for you and again, if you need some little ones for that "holiday movie" feel free to contact me regarding my budding entertainers... they have resume, headshots and EXPERIENCE... how about that? LOL

    Joyce - TheBrownBoysdotws Mom

  • Man I was laughing my ass off....

  • Hey if I was a big producer I would love to do something with you, but I am actually just a 13 year old kid... Good Luck Anyways! ^^;

  • plain and simple? you rock.

  • Thanks. I like the absolutism in your comment. I here a music sting with it.

  • unbeliiivable man!

use it before you lose it.

  • dude im definately watchn ur movie

  • Weehoooo!

  • With a personality like yours, your movie ought to be great. ;)

  • Yes...and very A.D.D.

  • Typically, the term "holiday" in the movie means Christmas. But the industry is very P.C. with anything that sounds religious. So to answer your question....KWISSMUUSSS.

  • hey good luck to you!

  • this is good hope you have a priority list

  • (smile) My priorities may not be the right priorities though...as you can tell with these vids. But who knows. These "priorities" may turn out to be the best decision I could of done!

  • Typically, the term "holiday" in Hollywood means Christmas. But industry peeps have to be pc about it. So to answer your question: KWISSSMUUSSSS. (smile)

  • lets form a meeting im willing to buy your idea for 12 pack booganenz for 10 rupies. PLAY MY GAME

  • YAYYYYYYYYY!!!! so excited for you :D

  • Not too soon, Livvy. Still gotta movie to make.

  • BA of Film Production at University of Southern California School of Cinema and Television. woot! woot!

  • Hey! should i go to nyfa screenwriting for a yeaR? i cant decide.....

  • YES! But when you go...bring a story idea with you that you really want to make. Screenwriting programs are EXCELLENT to hold you accountable! Worth every penny.

  • thanks for the advice!

  • That made me laugh too. What was I thinkin'?!?

  • i wish you luck man, I really think you'll be able to do it.

  • Guy's he hasn't made the movie, he's trying to, so he can't post it. Anyways, indie guy, you're awesome, so keep on keeping on! Best of luck.

  • I agree with RamirandJames drop some clips of the movie here or make a trail of it and post it so they can see what their getting, this feeds the YT buzz, and im SURE major people watch YT so you never know man! Think about Chris Crocker, he don't have even 1% of the talent you have, and he's sorta semi famous, (not really) but you know what i mean! Cease the moment man! YT = TELEVISION YOUR TELEVISION CHANNEL TO DO WHAT WITH IT!! Hope it works man!

  • do you know ham tran? ucla grad, made this flick...watch?v=e84lOfQH0FM

    you remind me of him.

  • why dont you just put th

    e movie up on youtube

  • He cant get money

  • oh i guess

  • Dude where did you get your degree? j/w

  • what holiday is it about?

  • "I'm just a dude in a little square!" Wow, this was very funny. I hope someone does have a meeting with you. I'd love to see your movie made.

  • dude. your videos are awesome. again, i hope ya can get your movie made!! REMEMBER THIS COMMENT when you finish your movie!!!!!

  • Thanks y, because you said so i will.

  • I'm trying to figure out what kind of holiday movie you would make. Anyway, keep on keepin on. Let's hear how that meeting went!!!

  • A very, very, very, very insane one loaded with Attention Deficit Disorder antics. But with heart. (smile)

  • That sounds terrible actually...sell your soul territory

    Ignore that last comment!

  • :)

As an animator/creative type myself, I must state outright that I'm allergic to money and as a left leaning 'save the world' type, have slightly less than zero business acumen. However, perhaps you could set up a website with some kind of donation/ sponsorship component, which will give your fans a small sense of ownership of the project.

For example, donate a 100 bucks and get your name in the credits - donate 1 million and get the naming rights of a minor character etc.

  • i love watching these videos and i hope this frickin movie happens!!

  • *applauds*

watching you (not stalkerish) every way

  • I hope it works

  • If your movie has the humor you show in these confessions, it's going to be hillarious.

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  • agreed!

  • Goodluck!

  • Thanks, dude. Coming from you, that means a lot. You got some rockin' stuff on your page! Fun to know I've earned your curious eyes.

  • This is really cool. I can't wait until your movie comes out. I'm sure you can do it! I'd DEFINITELY beg to see it. Good luck!

  • I wish you the best of luck, can't wait for the next vid and the movie. Keep at it and you'll succed. Later. ^_^

  • Wooohooo! Now I know things!

So tell me, since this is an Indie holiday movie, will it have Santa riding a giant turkey throwing candy hearts at jackolanterns causing them to explode?

    I'm joking of course.

Any ways, GOOD LUCK AGAIN!! I'm watching and waiting!

  • Made me laugh.

  • I like what you're doing. I hope the film works out for you. I really think I'd love to see it, what I'm scared witless about is that when the film does get made it is only released in the US, I'm in England. Independent films are hard enough to make in the first place, distribution harder still, and then global exhibition... I really hope this comes together, even if I'm unable to get to see it.

Keep up the good work, seriously, this film sounds too good not to make!

  • I have a feeling it will make it out to England. I heard about a recent movie that got it's financing by first securing foreign sales, then went tot he banks. I have no doubt this flick would get a good box office response in your neighborhood. The story, in essence, is quite commercial. It can practically be a "studio" flick. But studios are so cookie cutter, it would be reduced to something formulaic in their hands. The trick is to get this going "independently"!!! Thanks!

  • SOUNDS GOOD SO FAR!!

  • I sent you a private message with a voice reel.

  • A holiday movie?! OK... Well, it's indie, so it must be good! Good luck with what ever comes next. We, the fans, will be waiting.

    ...

    No pressure. :P

  • i would totally help you out but i cant. but best of luck man. and one question. where do you send scripts to, to get them read?

  • You can send them to smaller production companies...but they usually look for what is selling. Also, there are a few good websides like Inktip which help to sell your script. Finally, screenwriting competitions are always fantastic resource to have your script reviewed.

  • oh good *releaved*

but it does have santa in it?

or is it just a christmas movie?

  • Awesome.

When (not if) your movie comes out, I'm going to make my whole family go see it.

    I'm rooting for you, man.

  • haha i hope that you can get a deal to make the movie

haha! anyways i think your awsome dont give up haha i cant wait to go to this movie

  • these vids are really helpful to like see wat really goes on i hope that this works ourt for u and id help if i could but idk wat i can do to help....i mean u already got the #1 vid on youtube! so i don't think that publicity is ur prob...

  • A holiday movviee? comeon! Please let it have all that good independent movie goodness like LOTR or something like that...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT MAKE ANOTHER TIM ALLEN LIKE SANTA MOVIE GOD PLEASE

  • NEVER!!! It's an ORIGINAL story so it isn't about Santa. Promise! I assure you, it is PURE INDEPENDENT MOVIE GOODNESS!

  • Your editing is phenomenal.

  • LOL - let us know if you "take a meeting' - I'd be curious to know what happens : )

  • Me too! Let's hope that they do happen! I'd be curious to know as well, nano.

  • you could always just set up another email account.

  • EGAD!!! You're right!!!!!! Why didn't I think of that??? Thanks blasianFMA. I'll do that for future stuff!

  • I love all these videos!

  • Once you finally gets this movie out (which you will) i think its totally gonna be big, with all your youtube fans! Can't wait!

  • A holiday movie?

  • Yes...the word is out! Holiday...as in "Santa". (Not Halloween or Thanksgiving).

  • ?

this phenominal script and movie that you want to make is about santa?

  • You, sir.. are awesome :-)

hope you can get this thing going!

  • Me too. I accepted the meeting, but lets see how serious they are.

  • Love your confidence. Wish I had that sometimes. Sometimes "Confessions Guy" runs on fumes. But as you can see, I'm still moving so actions speak louder than words, right?

  • Haha damn hilariouse.

  • Good luck I'd watch

  • i love the fans part!! haha...thanks for checking out my video. btw, if you ever need an editor.

    =) help me help you...

  • No prob, dude. You made a drunkin' dance interesting for several minutes! That is EMMY in my book!

  • lol some how I can KIND of relate this to Entourage.

  • woohoo!

    <
