The reason for his few season appearences has just been his tactical misunderstanding of Barcelona. His passing game is still shaky and seeing how half of barcelona's success was from constant passing, he was left out. In a year,if not next season, he will have adjusted better to barcelona and will be playing much more.

He left Arsenal becouse he wanted to win trophies. And now he got 3 but you can't really say he did take part of it. He was one of my favorite in Arsenal and I was so disapointed when he left. This video show that he doesn't have the vision to play for barca and I can see why he was left in the bench. I hope he comes back to Arsenal cheap. He will probably leave barca this summer.

Hleb is and always was average. I HATE Arsenal fans who go on about how great he was for us. I have a season ticket at the Emirates so I saw plenty of him. He never shot on goal, always passed backwards or sideways, barely scored more than 1 league goal a year and averaged only 1 assist every 9 games. You call that world class?

We have not struggled goalscoring wise this season. Our goals scored are as high as they usually are. We have struggled because we are conceding too many goals. This is due in big part to the absence of Flamini. Therefore we have not missed Hleb at all, but greatly missed Flamini. If you really are a season ticket holder you will know well just how much running and covering work Flamoney did for us.

Barcelona are not similar to Arsenal because they play a very rigid and positional formation, their famous 4-3-3, while we play with more interchange and positional freedom. Hleb played a completely free-role at Arsenal but at Barcelona he is made to stay in a single position. His natural instinct was to drift inside and with freedom but now he is asked to stay out wide and provide width. He was pivotal to Arsenal but now he is periphery, both in terms of position and status.

hleb was great in arsenal but he's been terrible at barca i think becoz of 2 things:

1) in a lot of games teams like to play 8-9 defenders against barca, giving him less space to work with, and in general la liga defenders have a very watchful eye for a dribbler's techniques.

2) hleb is sometimes trying to do too much. he's greedy (NOT saying he's selfish), in that he holds the ball and tries to find a more decisive pass/play, when sometimes a simple pass to the most obvious player is sufficient. and when that doesn't work out it looks bad to the audience (defenders closing his options down -> hleb losing the ball/bad pass -> counter attack).
