How? The wind was blowing 20-25mph and gusting to better than 35mph. The mic on my camera couldn't handle it. I wish everyone could hear the roar of the power of the water. I debated about dubbing something over it, like music, but decided to leave the audio as is.
Yes we are lucky, I guess. ONE catastrophic hurricane is one too many for anyone to survive.

We were hit by the western EYE-wall of Katrina 3 years ago. The LA/MS area looked like a 3rd-world country after a bombing.
I know exactly what the Galveston area looks, smells, and sounds like.
