@TheVideosfactory Thanks for the info but the tri pod works great, just picked up a dolly set of wheels for to stableise it and working really good. and also picked up a motor control head for it last mouth from Varizoom MC-50 and a steady cam.
does the job but what about takein it around with you, i can build up one very nice but, wana do one that can pack it when i wana go somewhere, but yea good i like it
awesome jib, but seems a little spendy for a DIY, i think for all the features and for the cost it took for you to build it, you could have just bought one
Could you build one for a large shoulder mounted cam like the sony HXR-mc2000u
HVdrumr 1 month ago
@HVdrumr This one will work just fine for the sony HXR-200u.
Camera whieght is 5.6 lbs. Motion control head can hold up to 12lbs.
I finished the jib with a nice coat of flat black paint. a battery box and a varizoom MC-50 control head works great.

how much were the DVD players at wal-mart? im making a jib like yours and the ones online are between $189 and $500
mechanicojoe 2 years ago
Hello the DVD players were 199.00 for 2
Venturer brand 8" screen..
yesterday I cut the boom down to five foot.
for smaller area. and I went with a 6"
lazy susan for better stability got rid of the 4" one. Thanks for the question good luck
on your Jib.

ok cool, thats really good for two screens, i guess if you made a homemade steadicam you could use the other screen!

That or if one breaks down.

After looking up some Jibs I still came out way under budget for what I built.
I had fun building it to my specs.
and the coast for a 10ft. boom w/ monitor,
zoom control: $250.00 not bad eh.
thanks for the feedback.
