You should make some pedestrian npc's to populate some of the new maps to wander around and get blasted to bits by the player. Maybe a car or two in the city and some Namekians chilling out in the village that respawn. Just saiyan...

My brother and some of he's friends worked with a game like this, a remake of esf with Half-Life 2 engine. That is many years ago now and my brother don't work with them anymore, he was making the interface. He told me that some of them still was working on that game after 5 years now. I wonder if this is the game? :P

@Indigapapir It'll be compatible with all windows operating systems, including Vista and Windows 7. And each character gets more than 1 transformations, but it won't include "all" characters of dragonballz, EG trunks and goten won't be added.

By the way, I hope when this mod it's done there will be a good guide that will explain how to make the game work in a clear way, since the usual problem of all this amateur mods is always the same: Guides and forum explications arent that good, so people go nuts trying to find out how to play.

1), Half-Life 1 is required, you can't play this mod with Counter-Strike or any source version

This is a Half Life 1 mod. Its called Earths Special Forces. The version being demo'd here is ESF: F (F for Final). The older 1.2.3 and 1.3 open beta versions are available on their site for download, however they have aged somewhat. Playing them now wouldn't do justice to the final product.

I've played ESF way back before it needed steam. (I think Version Beta 1.2.1?) And I played Beta 1.2.3 about a year ago. And I can only say that the ESF Team has once again blown my mind away. With every update uptil Beta 1.2.3 they've pushed the HL1 engine beyond it's limits. With Beta 1.3 however... They've just gone and ignored all the laws of the space-time continuum. The only reasonable explanation for what they're doing right now with the HL1 Engine is... Magic! XD

Open Beta Final & v1.3 Final are very different versions. You can't compare these 2.

I'm within the ESF team, but not really "creating" the mod. The cracks in the ground is not being done with destructive entities but rather simple animated with sprites if I'm not mistaken. As for the destructive entities, I don't think it'll be added due to the lag issues.

Personally I say 2010 because of the speed of the progress in the last half year. Just don't take my word for it though. And no, this mod is free. You only need steam with a legal copy of Half-Life 1 on it. Just Half-Life 1, not source or Half-Life 2, just the original plain old Half-Life 1 which costs about 10 dollars.

Fuckin Epic guys. You did an excellent job. Taking the half life engine this far, should really consider doing what unknown worlds (Natural Selection) did and make an actual game development branch and create some actual games for distribution while managing some of the previous mods =). In any case this will look excellent in a portfolio for all involved. Can't wait to play!
