  • hi i don't mean to bother you but i just had a few questions i have successfully finnished the p90x and i have noticed that i have gotten pretty cut up but i still have a gut... and for a while i stuck exactly to the p90x nutrition plan but i gotta say it's not enough for me here lately. so i have been eating a little more lately for example i eat about 2 big pieces porkchops for dinner with the veggies on the side, luch is kinda the same way. sixpack abs are my ultimate goal, what do you think

  • @Klimatik Ok cool...that stuff is bad and plus the main reason I don't like is because I gained so much weight taking it and digressing in my workouts because of football season. I don't want to have to feel obligated to go to the gym or exercise every single day. I want to go everyday or work out because I choose to not because of some protein making me do.

  • I agree with you abt the take your food with you thing. I wanted to ask you a question. I have been on my journey only since 9/20/10 & am doing well so far. I also got rid of my scale it is discouraging like you said. I have Lupus so some days I can't even move let alone do my insanity or any other workouts, on those days I'm always stressed because all I can think is "damn u didn't workout today", so not being able to work out those days, do you think it will hurt what i'm trying to achieve?

Im starting P90X november 4th, i need your help. im 5'1 14 years old and weigh 123. i have school so i cant have breakfest at 10:00 and if i have breakfest at 8:00 then i cant have a snack at 10:00-11:00 . so it gets messed up, since you are supposed to have 5-6 small meals each day. please help

  • @tasev1 people afford what they want, eating healthy food is actually cheaper than eating fast food any day of the week... I can get a weeks worth of meals by going to the grocery store and eating by my plan than someone who does not and just eats fast food and junk.... excuses are only good in two situations and never is one of them.

  • first let me say that you have done a great job with the transformation!! I recently started a weight loss program thru my dr. I was put on a 1000 calorie diet and given phentermine an appetite suppressant. I went from a size 224.5 to 209 from 7/16 to 8/26. I didnt really exercise they way i was suppose to, but i am researching a workout i can do at home. I see a lot of men doing this workout, but i'm told it works well for women too. Would you suggest this plan for women?

  • i think i may become a vegatarian, deep down i know its the best wayof health for me,and life as they say, but i need help my husband and daughter will remain flesh/meat eaters so its not realistic to cook 2 dinners, so on and so forth if you have read any books or have come across any websites-apart from yours- in addition to yours :) will you please inform me of these in the past ive done challanges like 30.60.90 of veggie eating but loading up on pasta and bread isnt gonna cut it any advice?

    Nutrition has always been my biggest challenge. I work out 6 days a week weigh 210lbs and am 6'3. To keep things simple for me, do you think that If I copy your nutrition plan to the best of my ability I might expect decent results? I work out hard everyday.

  • @orcthighsmcfondle yeah it will work for you if you follow it... but remember that sometimes working out won't work if it is the wrong workout. I know before getting into the P90X I wasn't getting the results I wanted. so if you are working out for 6 days and eating right you will be find.

  • @Guitarify1 that was right about 1800 a day. as far as lightheadedness you have to see when are you eating and what time are you doing your workouts. It certainly takes a little time but if you eat right and don't cheat the nutrition. and don't miss any workouts you will be fine.

  • A lot of bodybuilders eat the same thing everyday... brown rice is white rice without the outer layer I dont see why people think is healthier.... I prepare my meals on sundays ...oven bake a whole bunch of chicken breast, mixed veggies and some sort of beans...divide into small portions... buy your self some glad storage containers...and every 2-3 hours put one in the microwave....egg whites for breakfast...cottage cheese before bed(slow digesting protein).... X !!!! lookin good klimatik!

  • @eddiefromnyc yeah the trick is to eat the things you like so that you don't get bored. but as far as the brown rice over the white... it is unprocessed so that the body can actually work to break down the food. when it is white rice, the body doesnt break it down as well so it takes longer to digest. I like the way that you break down your meals as well. that is how you keep from messing up.

  • I am starting on mine tomorrow, though I was thinking to ask if anyone can answer me plz...I am 5"10 about 140 pounds skiny guy, and my goal is to gain muscles and mass, so I was wondering, should I follow the nutrition guide, or what kind of nutriton should I take?   • I love the alcohol pitch. If it's one thing I can't stand, it's people who insist you need alcohol to have a good time. I haven't touch a brew in five years myself. No that I was a big drinker before. Never had the taste for it I guess.

    Morning Star foods are good. Though I still prefer my meat :) Their foods can get a little pricey though. I usually stick to white meats or lean red meats. I hear low fat chocolate milk makes for a good recovery drink too.

  • @KJamesSr right I never took a drink because I wanted it. It was only because I was with others who was drinking. as far as the morningstar farms, they can cost a nice chunk of change, but a steak is not cheap, lol

  • yeah you still wnat to follow the nutrition guide, until you do that you will never get the best results. there are different eating levels that you can eat to get the body that you want. just go ahead an to the level II or III to get more mass

  • Yea, I am about to start p90x in a few weeks and the nutrition will be my largest obstacle. Klimatik would you suggest dumbells or resistance bands? I am going for a more toned look. I worked out most of my life but when I went to college I got lazy and I stopped, but now I am concerned about living a healthier lifestyle.

  • I myself like the dumbells, but when I travel I do use the bands, they are a great substitute and you still get a pump.

  • hey man i dont know if you are still answering comments form this page. but a few friends of mine and myslef are all thinking about doing p90x together, but two of us, myself included, are really concerned about getting the portions right and spacing out the meals. i was thinking about starting the nutrition plan a week before i started the workout, so i can adjust, and then i would just repeat the first week while working out, is this a good idea? i really want to get this right... thanks

  • Yes the 8 meals a day is a good way to lose weight quicker, It speeds up metabolism,

    also, not every one need's 8 hours it's just suggested amount. you should get no less than 6. if avoidable.

  • i had a question... will sleeping late and waking up late bring any bad effect on my p90 workout and nutrition?? because i usually wake up late but still work out on the p90 x and i havent been eating 3 times a day!

  • Need to eat 3 time's a day.....important....and the sleep you need 8 hours of sleep per night.....quality sleep is from 10 P.M to about 8 A.M

    you need 8 hours of sleep within those hours.....that's quality sleep.

  • i think the hardest part is at the begining, but then you get a hang of it... And I can't believe your a vegeterian,wouldnt expect those type of results without meat, but yeah, there is still fish and reach in protein vegetable. Really neat. It would be really great to see, how your working out(or just make a video for the biginners, like me, to workout while watching the video. It would be great. ( maybe there is a video of you working out, but i didnt find it =)

  • well you have to just adjust the times but you can still make it work, do what i do I prepare everything I need for the day. I work nights now too (12 -9) so it can be done. just get a large cooler, it goes a long way and the re-usable ice packs and you will be good to go!

  • no it does not, you will still have the same intake no matter what. I am not doing the shakes any longer so that is most likely better after.

  • im not sure if u know this but alcohol isnt that bad AS LONG as u dont abuse it and get drunk but like one glass of wine (im not sure if different kinds matter) but its good for. im not entirely sure about beer or liquor id imagine beer isnt that good for u but i only heard something about that i didnt look it up or nothing

  • well it is jut a personal choice, I don't enjoy drinking so that was what drove me to the reason to stop. most people drink because they think it is a cool thing. or just because someone else is drinking they do it, but by all means if you feel you NEED it then enjoy.

  • It is good to hear from another vegetarian who is doing the program. I am beginning week 3 today. You mentioned MorningStar foods, have you tried their buffalo wings? I love those things with some BBQ sauce. Regarding your end comment on alcohoI: I am a beer fan and have limited myself to only drinking on Friday/Sat. nights but am tempted to swear it off during my remaining time. When you started were you able to keep up with all the workouts?

    The first time I ever heard of P90X was from your first video. Thanks to you, I have stuck to this "stupid" (Amazing/Difficult) workout.  I will finish my first round next Friday. Your transformation has been amazing to watch.

    I have lost 54 pounds, and 8 inches off my waist. Every time I got discouraged throughout the program, I would just pull up your video.
