  • @bogotter what race profession will u be? Ima be a char engi in blood legion

  • @xXguitarpro1Xx I'm not sure what I'm going to play yet. I only know that I will not be an asura, engineer or guardian. That's as far as I've been able to narrow it down. LOL.

  • yeah as the Pet can rezz u, you need to be able to put it of attackmode =)

  • we dunt want to see your face soo moar footage

  • @hurlubu I know...I wouldn't want to look at my face either. The YouTube rules are very strict about using footage that isn't your own. So for now, you get to look at my ugly mug. Thanks for watching.

  • @bogotter

Personally I listen to these videos as podcasts, so this does not bother me; though I would appreciate gameplay footage accompanying the audio. I understand that you are unable to use footage that is not your own, but that's just my outlook.

  • Combos remind me of Skillchains from FFXI

  • You mixed up the meanings of families and species but DAMN I want to play a ranger now. I loved the hunter in classic WoW, where you still could get unique pets... this will bring the feeling back!

  • @UnnaRainchaser What did I mix up? I thought I got it right. Broad pet group is a family like feline and the individual animals like snow leopard are the species. That wrong? Thanks for watching and I agree, Ranger pets sound awesome.

  • @bogotter That's pretty much the correct terminology. At least for bacteria ;)

  • I like this cross-profession combos a lot but I wonder if this means that going in a dungeons with two or more of the same class is going to be a disadvantage...

  • @svevo That's an interesting point. Perhaps they will have combos that can be triggered with two of the same profession. Let's hope so. But keep in mind, just because you can go into a dungeon with 5 warriors, that doesn't make it the ideal group. You don't need a certain mix of professions to be successful, but that doesn't mean there aren't optimal (or sub-optimal) group compositions.

  • @bogotter They mentioned that some combos could be completed by a single player. So two of the same profession should definitely be able to interact. And with different weapons two people of the same class aren't even that similar.

  • @svevo They do have combos that can be preformed with 2 of the same profession. ArenaNet stated that in the post they made on the subject.

  • You sound like Ray Romano. That's a plus on 2 sides because then automaticly everyone loves you and if Ray Romano ever dies, you can take his place on ice age and make lots of money.

    My god it's genius

  • subscribing to your channel, finally

Your videos all have accurate information, you don't annoy the crap out of me, and you upload in HD

  • @VegetoStevieD Woot! I don't annoy the crap out of you! Thanks for watching and for the sub!

  • @bogotter So smart and nonraging people play gw2? now i wanna play too!

  • o great i mis read. to correct myself. F1 for pets = attack target over riding the current stance temporarily. F2=family skill like polar bear roar. F3=change stance. guess its only those 3 that can be used to control pet. sounds good 2 me.

  • good as usual

  • W0000t Tyria Talk! Love this show.

  • A higher skill ceiling means you're going to want to be very particular about who you take with you into the hardcore/repeatable dungeons. I think that might be why they only have 5 man dungeons, so I don't end up with 10 people who know what they're doing and having to carry 15 scrubs.

Also: I only want to play a ranger if I can eschew the pet. Why does every archer class these days seem to come with a pet? Can't I JUST be a marksman?

  • @Dragonsblood175 I agree with you about the higher skill ceiling and I find it very comforting to hear that even the devs had a hard time completing one of the dungeons in the repeatable mode. Also, I think they made the thief in-line with what you would consider "marksman", with them being a very capable ranged class and not just reliant on melee combat. Double pistols in particular looks very promising and I know that's one setup I will have to try out first thing.

  • @Dragonsblood175 You don't have to play with the pet.

  • @Dragonsblood175 I want a marksman aswell which is why I'm going as thief to not deal with a pet.. Besides, I think they have cooler long range attacks than ranger. If thief is not your cup of tea theres also the warrior.

  • @Dragonsblood175 Lord of the Rings Online has the Hunter and they are a pet-less archer class. I'm not sure if the GW2 ranger is going to have that option, however. Sounds like it's a pretty big part of their kit.

  • @Dragonsblood175 In the first guild Wars almost no one used their pet, Ranger was simple bow-based, anyone who used their pet was a noob unless they used a certain build.

  • "By your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!"

  • great vid, keep em coming. Im currently deployed but i get back in december and i cant wait to play this game when it releases.
