  • I made two recipes of mayo and they both flop. Now that I see your video, I learn I added the oil too quickly and didn't mix enough between each addition. Well, I will have to try another day.

    Thanks for the info.

  • Is this safe for children to eat since it has raw egg in it?

  • well done. I agree with phily880, best mayo video on YT. I'm going to use this for my potato salad today, a side dish for our BBQ. thanks for sharing

  • I watched loads of Mayonnaise Videos - this is the best by a long way - thanks for sharing . . .

  • @mike40email

Thanks! have you tried making it?

  • @shibby22

Yes with Olive Oil (only because its all I had) - Never going to buy Mayonnaise again . .

  • @phily880

Thanks! I appreciate the comment. Have you tried following this tutorial?

  • @shibby22 Yea I did and it turned out great. Better then store bought. The only difference is that I got lazy and used an electric egg beater lol.

  • @Stephanopolis13

You can, but remember olive oil has a bitter taste to it. If you want to you can try using 2/3 Canola oil 1/3 Olive oil. I think that will make it less bitter. Also, it's harder to get air bubbles into olive oil so you may end up with a hurting arm ;)

  • Your vid has been the VID 2 help! Id watched Tons of vids and tried and Failed! Saw this once and got it the 1st time! THANK U SO MUCH!!!!

  • @mshuneeb

  • @nekoyama9

Thanks for the comment! How did the mayo come out?

  • god blesss your mayonaiseeee thanks so much now i dont have to buy mayonaisee from popeys thanx :)

  • God bless your GRAND-MOTHER! =)

  • The acid in the lemon juice kills the bacteria in the raw egg. Mix the yolk & lemon juice together first, then add the oil.

But yea, I don't add any other crap either.

  • @bruno2260

I agree, but the eggs I use for mayo are superb quality and I know their origin.

If you are worried about bacteria and still want to keep the classic mayo flavor, you can try hard boiling an egg and using it's yolk only. The mayo doesn't come out as smooth but it's not bad ;)

  • shibster i luv you man, great video dawg.
