You know some gold veins are actually purple for some odd reason but then you got your quartz veins, and then your reddish color gold veins. Just some tips.
I also saw some small patches of reddish Hematite as the veins were being filmed. Those Hematite pockets will be the "High Grade" areas to work.
This Ore will most likely have to be roasted at 800F for at least a couple of hours so that the ore is a reddish brown when cool, thereby indicating that the sulfur has been removed, and then leach the ore with one of the various processes to recover the Gold.
hey 5150lovers. At :36 the fuckin that you said was very proper, one of the best executions of the word fucking i have ever heard. its a real pleasure to me, the gold and the cursing, its like a double wammy. peace brother. happy panning
I think that the person that made that tunnel made a fortune and then leave, he is probably to old to keep working. Now is your turn. Congratulations on your finding.
You've got some nice mineralization there. I would suggest getting in there with a stopping gun and go to town on all the exposed quartz and a little bit of the contact rock for about 8 hours. That should bring down 3 or 4 tons. Wheelbarrow that out of there to a rock crusher and then shaker table it out. If after all that you have 1 or 2? ounces you're in the money. You really need to run a large sample like that to get a good idea. In full production you'll go much faster. GOOD LUCK!
@SBrinks If we had that attitude we wouldnt even try!!! Are you a Prospector? Geologist? What makes you so knowledgealbe?? Did your research to find out why they stopped mining in the area?? If not have a look then get back to us!!
@SBrinks when the costs of mining are higher than the gold they mine... they quit. If you or me have enough time to do some hobby mining then its only a matter of finding some.

All that rusty reddish rock is the Ore.
It's oxidized Sulfides that contain micron Gold.

@SBrinks Ya it was called L 208 which outlawed private ownership of gold mines from 1942 to 1975.
