  • I can see why you have chosen this middle ground however i dont share your belief that both sides have Equal merit. in this case you would have to weigh up the proof for both arguments and see which one has more of it. for that reason im with solrosenburg

  • You know there is a God, but God forgot where he put us...

And why is this coming up today and not on the 4th?

  • Dude, you don't get it. You really don't get what a scientific theory is.

As for creation, there is absolutely no evidence for it.

Your nobody was there analogy is ridiculous. When a murder victim is found, the people discovering the body were not there at the time of the murder, but thanks to science, much of the time many things including who the murderer might be can be deducted by science. Also evolution is not about the beginning. Watch Potholer54's videos

  • i hate CSI programs tho,so tedious.and your coment reminded me of them

  • You're clearly a guy who avoids dogmatism and tries to sees both sides of an argument, Such an approach does you credit.

  • The problem for you is that evolution is a scientific theory (not a damned guess.) A WORKING scientific theory -- like gravity, Einsteinian physics, and quantum physics. Creationism/ID is not. It's not even a falsifiable hypothesis, let alone a theory.

EVERYTHING in science is theory, subject to correction. In science, fact can only mean something which has been confirmed to the extent that it would be perverse to withhold provisional consensus.

  • Exactly - think of a theory as what investigastors have at a crime scene. It is not some wild guess. They look at the evidence of what the crime scene offers and they make present a logical theory as to how those facts (Or evidence) can best be described. They dont just choose a random suspect from the phone book. They continue to look at new evidence. If the new evidence does not support their theory they dont throw it away - they alter their theory to accept the new evidence.

  • i'm a theistic agnostic... that means although i don't claim to know for sure, i'm hopeful that there is something...
