oh man!!! I loved this world in Donkey Kong Country 2 and the ice-cave levels they were awesome!!!!! DKC2 was my favorite out of the three games on the super nes.... aww this brings some good memories back playing this.... loved the music tune...

Out of the 3 games, this one tops them all. The gameplay, music, and graphics were awesome. DKC3 had issues such as delayed sound effects and once in a while graphical glitches. I hated going through walls and falling to my death.

I know this is a bit late but at the start of the level use dixie to float to the bonus barrel to the left

Then its on the right hand side of the bonus level at the start

In the first bonus stage (not shown) reached by gliding to the right at the very beginning. Once you start the bonus stage, glide to the right to find a hidden platform with the DK coin in it.

Its in the bonus stage at the beginning (you fly to the right to get into it). Once you're in the bonus stage, instead of taking either the diddy or dixie kong barrels at the bignning you go past them and fly over to the right with dixie and there it is.

Good job, but you can def do better. Try jumping on that enemies head and moving right before the halfway barrel, you can make it to the platform without landing. Also, if you ignore the TNT barrel before the bee you can cartwheel jump under him. Also, at the end, you can jump up through the birds and kill the one, then jump off the 2nd to last one's head right onto the target. But seriously, good job of what you did already!

The hero coin is in the first bonus. Just helicopter spin over the bottomless pit and there it is.

Do you ever notice the music chime when you lose on DKC2? It depends on the level and it sometimes gets very funny. Especially the Ice stage near the final boss.

i think the first DKC was the only one who had that special charm. DKC2 was good; though i think it lost the "country" element, it was still amazingly put together for the +/- 11 months RARE had to make it. but DKC was a joke. it was clear that it was targeted specifically towards younger gamers who would have to buy the SNES 2 'cause their parents wouldnt want to spend $200 on the N64. Only DKC had good tunes!
