Rush Limbaugh's whole argument is completely based on the idea that there were only 9 ships moving slaves between Africa and the U.S., which is a ridiculously small number of ships.

Also, his audience should be ashamed of themselves for laughing and applauding this bullcrap.

Rush's argument wasn't based on any specific number. He was using a number to simplify the math. Whatever reasonable number you use, the claim is ridiculous.

Nobody is laughing about people dying. They're laughing at the idiot who made such a stupid claim.

@Frieda18 You and others are missing the point. What's being talked about here is the number of DEAD slaves. NOT the TOTAL number of slaves.

So what percentage of slaves died? Lets say 10% (and that's probably high). Based on the originally stated figure of 200 mil DEAD, that means there were (what) 2 BILLION total slaves! Impossible!

Now how about the revised figure of 20 million? At 10% that's 200 million total slaves. Come on! Settlers didn't even come here at these rates!

You see the crowd's reaction when he was referring to slaves being dumped over. Even if it was only a fraction of the deaths, say 100,000 - it's still a shame and a travesty. And if you study biology, you'd realize that yes, dead bodies does affect the ecosystem.

I don't need to study biology to laugh at that. His number is ludicrous and he makes the assertion that sharks still swim the slave routes (awesome!).

Now, I can understand how someone with limited intelligence could NOT laugh at that, because they may find it possible. However, someone with a modicum of intelligence will immediately realize they are listening to someone speak who invariably has none, or is a pathological liar. Oh, and as an aside, I would also suggest you take some time to study mathematics. It is actually quite helpful when studying any form of biology worth a damn, and will help you understand why the above video is indeed comical.
