@Shroomasaur actually some people alter the cymbals to get a different effect like i drill holes in all my crashes so they ring out an extra few seconds he probably had some reason for it.....or maybe he just went crazy and blasted them xP

fuck paiste them cymbals are horrible. there like 10 dollars a cymbal and they sound shitty for all genres. zildjian kicks ass but i go with sabian just not the kind he has because he probably only paid 50 bucks for them. zildjian makes cheap cymbals too every company does

dude zildjian u have to go to pay like 200 bucks to get a good cymbal cymbal. sabian the same. paiste u dont. paiste u dont have to pay 200 bucks for a cymbal. u can pay about 300 for a paiste pst5 cymbal set and they kick ass. paiste is like the best buy u can ever get

well i guess some paiste may be alright but the only ones ive heard dont sound good at all but thats becuz my friend buys cheap ass cymbals. if i were in a recording studio recording drums i would deff go with zildjian but just jamming around i like sabian becuz it gives more of a trashy sound but the only paistes ive heard the ride was like no sound it made a little ting and the sound just like stopped.ill check out the cymbals your talking about

Just spend 20 bucks on a Wuhan china, it really has my favorite china sound anyways...and yes paiste don't suck...zildjians are awesome too...so are sabians...it's all preference and relative to the music your playing.

Paiste produces a variety of lines made for a variety of playing styles and budgets. Sabian and Zildjian have, although, been a bit more creative and innovative while Paiste is more traditional. All three companies make great cymbals. If you want great sound quality, in my opinion, Paiste: Signatures, or RUDES. Zildjian, A Customs, Avedis, or K Customs (Z's are trash). And Sabian HHX, or some AA's. I find Sabians to be more durable, but I like Zildjian's A Customs most. They shimmer like crazy.

sabian is pretty much the same as zildjian, as the two manafacturers are 2 brothers, so really. . it makes no difference

actually, it kind of does. more rock oriented drummers use sabian. where as, zildjians are more versatile and used in a variety of genres. but then again, that's just a generalization. and meinl isn't a bad company either.
